About 14 minutes in, Gabrielle Glaser, author of Her Best Kept Secret: Why Women Drink - And How They Can Regain Control, does a very good job of describing TSM and discussing how the US is still in the Dark Ages when it comes to treating addiction.

Nice job finding that. She hosts a good show, unfortunately I'm at work. I'll bet it can found the NPR website, most stuff shows up there.

The comments are very abstinence oriented. We moderators are a tiny roup indeed.

That's funny because I don't think of myself as a moderator, per se, though I know that technically I am drinking moderately. Drinking on nal just doesn't count as drinking to me. I hope to eventually become a non-drinker (or an only-on-rare-occasions-and-only-after-taking-nal drinker), but if TSM works for me like I hope it does, I'm pretty sure I won't think of myself as an abstainer at that point.

I feel sad for the girl in the comments who said that she won't take oral naltrexone because she isn't ready to commit to abstinence. I hope she takes epenthesis' advice and looks into TSM.
