So, I have to ask myself, am I willing to put up with the SE's? am I willing to forgo the buzz? Am I willing to work through anxiety, depression, fear, insecurities, etc, etc, without the crutch of alcohol? Today I am. I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow when it starts to become difficult. Keek

Woo hoo Keek, I like it, the independence thing and all. Imho, if you can get by these se's, your a lot closer to being "free" then you could possibly imagine. Hoping these se's are just temporary. I'm thinking of the post where they went from 1/4's to 1/2's to 3/4's to a full 50mg. Best of luck in whatever way you attack it. Peace

Congrats on the AF Days. I always start out the day, planning on being AF, particulary if i have a bad headache. By the end of the day and 5:00 rolls around, i am grabbing for the bottle of Vodka.

Good for you, kekede! I think every day that you are either AF or that you drink after taking naltrexone is a success.

Au Contraire! I never dreamed I'd ever be able to control alcohol, or live without it. Never.

But I did, and the only effort involved was to remember to take a pill every time before drinking. It doesn't get any simpler.

Just take the pill, and don't try too many AF days in the beginning. Extinction does not work without pill + alcohol.

Yeah, ditto. For most of us, it's almost shockingly easy. Some people have problems, but why assume you'll be one of them? Just let the protocol do its work.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with side effects. That does make it more difficult.

It sounds like you might be a little sick, though. I've never heard of anyone having a sore throat as a side effect. Maybe you'll perk up in a day or two.
