How does it taste? Like vinegar, still like wine, something else entirely?

I should just get over my mild aversion and try nal + wine. :)

2 Glasses. The wine was good. Warm, flushed feeling, but no buzz. I had one glass with some brisket I smoked a few nights ago. I wet aged the brisket almost a month, slow smoked the brisket for 7 hoirs. Damn, it was goOd. I could see wanting todrinkthis more. I hope this doesn't change my view of alcoholin the morning.

Edit: after no alcohol for 3 months I definitely feel its effects. I was actually stumbling just from the nal.

It wouldn't necessarily be bad to drink two glasses of wine more often. Lots of people do that without having a problem.

Yes, except the price for me is still high. Last night l was riding the edge of nausea. Today, a bit cloudy, but lightest nalover yet.

And possibly most importantly, what's my internal story? Am I a 3 month teetotaller, then need a refresher? Am I still someone who doesnt drink? Is this the tip of the wedge? Do I need to be abstinent?

Do I just drink when I want to? Today I definitely do not want to.

It sounds like you might be struggling with identity. Is this a part of life where you need a label? Is it important to be "a teetotaler" or "an occasional drinker"?

Since you took nal, I doubt it's the thin end of the wedge. I'd only be concerned about that if you started drinking without nal.

I find internal consistency important. What do I tell myself every day? What standards do I hold myself to?

Its also easy to have something easy to digest for others.

Hmm. Is it important to have a standard for ourselves re alcohol? Maybe. I'm not sure.

Not even slightly interested in alcohol. This is the most indifferent i have been.

And to think a few weeks ago i was wondering about downing some hot sauce.

Periodically, I think I need the refresher course. When rationalizations start creeping in, when the demon starts whispering that I'm cured... From some who have returned, seems like this is common.

Yeah, I also think a periodic refresher would be wise. It would take me longer to talk myself into drinking without nal again, but I'm sure I could do it with enough time. ;)

Let's neither of us be one of the folks who is cured at the one-year mark but not at the three-year mark.

Had 2 drinks april 1.

Refresher course seems to be working for me.

Seem to keep reaching new levels of indifference that I didn't know where there.
