Please be careful with grapefruit juice. It interacts with many medications, pharmaceutical and herbal. Always perform your research prior to drinking grapefruit juice to avoid some ugly side effects.

Bob

Will do Bob. Fortunately when I do the cleanse I have been af for a few days so I have not taken any Nal. Then after I usually don't drink either so in my case the grapefruit juice is gone before any Nal is taken. I think that is a great point though and glad you said so on here in case of those reading this who do take Nal everyday and or drink daily. Thanks. I should have thought of that. All the best! :D

Still doing well. Wrote an exam in math and did ok. Big suprise my brain actually still works. I live in a good place but I did have 3 beers with no nal the other day and am kicking myself for not having it on me. I hope I didn't put myself back for this. All the best to all. :D

I seem to be the only one who posts here these days but I don't mind. It is like my own little record anyway. On Monday I have to speak at the funeral of my old and dear friend who committed suicide. He was not old. He sufferred from anxiety and depression. I just finished writing the things I will say and I do think it will be a very big funeral. This likely will not affect my drinking pattern since it is " set in stone" but nonetheless I have to find a way to process this death of a close person in my life. Especially this ugly death which I will not describe here because of protecting him. Anyway I write this as a reminder of the things I am going through that are tough and that without my following the Sinclair method I think I would not have been able to handle in the past. Before the method I would not even have bothered to write this post let alone say yes to speak at the funeral. I bought a dress today for it and am ready . As ready as I'll ever be . Life is important. I guess that is an obvious thing to say.

Hi potato - I always read your posts as well but I don't always respond (get tired of seeing my name pop up all over when I concentrate on posting).

Very sorry about your friend and I am proud of you for speaking - that really does speak volumes.

No, dear, it is not obvious. Thank you for sharing this post and the reminder for all of us. I am going to shut off my computer now, and go concentrate on living.

Potato, I always read every one of your posts. For some reason, the progress report threads often have little/no feedback. . .yet they're one of the first things I go to when I come on board.

I am sorry for your loss. Losing someone close is always difficult, but losing someone to suicide (or murder) is the toughest thing in the world. There's just another emotional element to it that makes it hard to get over. My thoughts and prayers are with you. . .

Hi, Thanks to all of you for the encouragement. I appreciate it very much. I just got back from the funeral and am wiped out from the day. It was a beautiful ceremony. Very classy and really fitting for the great friend he was. The family was very appreciative for what I said and I am glad I had the nerve to do it. My eyes are kinda sore from the tears I shed on and off and I will miss my friend very much. So now I am just going to catch up and read some of the latest posts and then hit the homework and then the bed. Thanks all and best wishes to you. :)

Hey Tates -- You've been in my thoughts and prayers. It truly is a gift to comfort loved ones the way you were asked to do. You are so special; obviously your friends know that and we are grateful you are part of our journey here.

Love. Lena
