Hi All,

Got a question for those further into TSM than I. I've been dutifully taking naltrexone for 99 days now. Can't say that's it's done a thing for me yet, but I'm still hopeful. The past couple of days I have felt like a beer or two less than usual. It might be due to the fact that I had caught some sort of stomach flu, but it might also be due to the effects (hopefully) of naltrexone. I found it odd that I got the night sweats after reducing my normal beer consumption by only a beer or two less than usual. Anyone else had this effect? I had read that if TSM works as would be hoped, that these withdrawal effects would be minimal. Anyone else been there and can offer any advice?

Many Thanks!

Two questions:

1.) Do you always wait one hour between taking naltrexone and drinking alcohol?

2.) Are you tracking your consumption? If you aren't tracking, you don't really know if it's decreasing or not. Our own subjective impressions are notoriously inaccurate.

GoatBeard Going from 8 to 6 beers shouldn't cause nights sweats. Maybe it would. Who knows. I've seen a LOT of people withdrawing from alcohol before and it's usualy going from 20 to 0 when they get severe withdrawals. Me, though. I get intermittent night sweats around 4:30 AM when I drink probably 6 or more drinks in a night. Hate it.

Night Sweats were one of the symptoms I experience long before TSM, reminding me that I'm an Alky. Drinking 12plus daily. more like 18 daily, I would occasionally try and go for a few AF days. That was a joke. I would be lucky to make 1 day a month. However, those evenings, AF, pre TSM, I could guarantee I would get the night sweats.

Bad News. I still drink too much.

Good news, I am drinking way less, and I have not had night sweats in a long time on my AF days.

In summary, my opinion, the night sweats are due to reduction of booze. Not related to Naltrexone.

This is actually good that you have reduced the amount of alcohol in your life. You know man your nights going to be more relaxed when you leave this habit. As alcohol ultimately is not good for health. So be careful and you can grab boomessays website helping material as well.
