Christopher,

It's great to hear from you. And it is also encouraging to see your progress and that you haven't given up. I agree with generic that it is simply going to take longer for guys like us to see the results that have come to some so quickly. The important thing is that we keep at it and stick with the protocol and the golden rule. That is what is working for me over the last month or so. Now that the holidays are behind us we can hopefully get back to some level of normalcy and start making some strides towards extinction. That is my hope for the New Year. For what it's worth, I think TSM is a lifetime program as well. Best of luck to you!

What a wonderful feeling. How bizarre it is for guys like us, no? To actually prefer staying home to a hard night of boozing?

Brings tears to my eyes. I'm so F*CKING proud of you my friend.

Still drinking too much, however, less and less every month. It's a slow go for me, but definitely going in the right direction still.

Still taking Nal. Following golden rule. As stated above. Nal is in my life forever. I could never give up the Nal and go back to a minimum of 18 units per day.

Still having some occasional drunken sessions, less and less frequent booze sessions with my friends or community booze activities. Dodging a quite a few on purpose now.

Still avoiding the vodka.

Blackouts, I can't say are gone completely, but a very rare event. I say very rare, because I can only recall 1 event in 2014.

Drunk driving is pretty much gone. Possibly close to the legal limit after a happy hour here or there. But to compare this to the daily 8 units I would have at a minimum on the way home every day, and continue to booze at home and then drive my kids around. Those days are gone.

I'm not cured yet. I would say that I am very happy "Being Cured".

I know being 14 months into this may seem like a lot to some of you new to the program, or lighter users, but I started out the program averaging around 120 units per week, a combinations of beers and vodka mixers.

Updated Charts Below with a bit of missing data for the last 3 days of March.

8 units avg/day, and USA units are small . . . it doesn't sound that bad. Much improved, certainly.

You are really hanging in there. I admire your fortitude.

Definitely nothing to brag about.

But, my cumulative average is down to 8.5 per day, but

March was 5.8 per day avg.
Feb was 6.7
Jan was 7.4

Getting somewhere lower. To quote generic, "I used to drink too much, I still do, but less."

I intend for less and less and less and less, and continue with Nal and Nal and Nal.

Slow and steady for me says the tortoise.

Updated and parked my signature here.

Christopher,

I think it was sideeffect2 that said to me "slow and steady wins the race." I hope that is right. I admire your perseverance. I'm coming up on a year and would not have stuck with this if I knew it was going to take this long. But now I figure as long as I am seeing continued progress I will keep at it. After all, what's the alternative? Good luck!

I am glad to see you going in the right direction Christopher . I'm like you, I don't drink as much but I probably drink too much. But the important part is your improving. It might not be at the pace you want but it's not going backwards either. So I am happy for you.

Generic thanks for bringing Chris's thread up, and yes after reading though it I too hope he's well. He sounds very committed and his charts show great progress from what started as a really hardcore situation. I find charts like that to be EXTREMELY informative, and it's that kind of data that led me to stop asking whether or not TSM would work, and made me realize that success was inevitable. I couldn't stop it from happening if I simply remained compliant and let the process run it's course.
