I've created the blog and put up a few starter posts. Page views and comments would be appreciated.

http://naltrexonekey.blogspot.com/

What would you like to see next? Why wine drinkers take longer? Common myths? What drinking on nal is like? Common problems?

Would anyone be interested in doing a guest post? Guest posts from cured people would be especially welcome, but most people leave here after they're cured, so I don't suppose a lot will even see this.

Tell me where to take it from here. I've got ideas, but I want everyone else's input.

I love it and God bless you for doing it. I think testimonials from cured and improved are essential. It seems there is a wide range of people helped - from 3 pill cures to 17 months, to relapses and restarts. People need hope because not all will find quick success like you on TSM. Your history is amazing. If you can overcome that level of addition, I know I can beat mine. Thanks again. Im a huge fan.

Awwww, you're nice.

It's no credit to me, really. I had some advantages most people don't, in that I was pretty sensitive to nal and I already knew about behavioral conditioning. The first can't be helped and the second is available to anyone.

Hey Melissa
Did you see this opinion piece in the New York Times? It mentions Naltrexone and Nalmefene as treatments.
Cold Turkey Isn’t the Only Route

I did. The woman's been flogging that book for a while now.

The comments are the real eye-openers. They're the same old cliches about substituting one drug for another, anyone who has trouble drinking should just stop drinking, and of course the AA zealots tossing in the occasional snarky remark about easier, softer ways.

I was thinking of doing a bit on it tomorrow, not so much on the article as on the comments.

At least one of the commenters mentioned Naltrexone and how it saved her son from the same path as his father and grandfather.

Drum roll please!

A quick tutorial on operant conditioning, including my favorite topic.

Why your doctor doesnt understand TSM. Doctors deal with meat problems. TSM is a behavioral problem with a behavioral solution assisted with a drug.

Meat problems? What does that mean?

I like the rest.

I'll probably pounce on the NYT article while it's (almost) fresh and go through the other ideas more slowly.

My crass way of saying problems with the body, the flesh, the meat.

People generally dont go in for behavioral problems.
