The day after a birthday seems like the perfect time to start. Good luck :)

Happy Birthday and Welcome to the Group.

As info. I started with the full 50mg day one and only had minor side effects the first couple of times.

I will start watching your space as well. ;)

Thanks, Christopher!

I'm going with 25mg for the first two days (at least) as per the instructions in the book but it's good to see someone who only had minor side efects!

Can I ask what they were?

Took 25mg of Nal at 17.00.

It is now 18.00 and I went downstairs to get a glass of wine and I do feel kind of weird! I little bit spacy...

Well, cheers!

I should have asked you where you get your meds from, Ruth. ADC or River? Do you take Naltima? I have ben reading up on problems with Nodict...

I just started yesterday. I'm in Lincolnshire. I bought mine over the counter in Spain last week without a script! That's why I went.

Clinic 158 in Glasgow will do over the phone. £98 for 1st month £78 thereafter. Dr McCall does the consultation on the phone and they post the stuff from dickson's in Glasgow.

Look on the sinclair method FB page. There may be a cheaper option being announced by Joanna.

Mike bought his in Spain. I also bought some for 2 friends!

Nodict is time release and not ideal!

Good luck....I feel sick at the moment....but better than a hangover!!

ps We're trying to get it from Addaction in Lincs on the NHS.

It's not time-release. Some people have found it less effective, so this idea keeps popping up, but it isn't actually time-release.

Some people think their quality control is less than awesome. Others think it's just the thick coating making it take longer to dissolve. The latter can be addressed by crushing it or simply cutting it into several small pieces.

I quarter mine, and it works fine. For others it works fine just as a tablet.

NoDict is probably not ideal, since a number of people have found it less effective than other brands, but people who already have NoDict shouldn't feel like they need to throw it out. Lots of batches work fine.

So it's 17.00 on day 4...

First two days I took 25mg of Nal at 17.00 to prepare for "cocktail hour" at 6... No obvious side effects, except for a little spaciness but Monday and Tuesday evening I only drank around 2.5 large glasses of wine.

Wednesday was my first full 50mg dose and it left my tongue feeling a little weird and I definitely noticed the spaciness! Still only drank 2.5 glasses.

2 bottles of wine lasted me three days, compared to my usual bottle and a half a day...

Just had my second full 50mg dose. Same tingling in the mouth and spaciness...

I haven't experienced any nausea that I can attribute to the Nal, likewise for sleep disturbance... I had a rough(ish) night last night but put that down to eating chicken kiev too quickly and too late in the evening! D'oh!

I know I will have a glass of wine at 6 tonight, but I also know I will most likely stop at 3, tops...

Nice "honeymoon"! So far...

That's awesome! Let's hope it's more than just a honeymoon -- but even if it is a honeymoon, it's a rip-roaring start.
