Alice?? !! Good to hear from you?

Well .. if you're still around .. how are you getting on? Really hope things are going well for you!

Hi everyone else .... apologies for going slightly AWOL .. again(!) long story cut short - got the Nal mid October .. then got diagnosed with a minor "ahem" women's problem ... which may need surgery.. Nothing life threatening ... but its getting worse and I really hope to be under the knife soon.

Anyhow - I don't really want to take Nal just now in case I do need a more urgent admission .. and then find out I'm in the operating theatre and the morphine/anaesthetic doesn't work cos I've been on Nal.

I know its maybe a wee bit of a weak excuse ... but I'd rather get this sorted and then restart properly.

(Needless to say .. I'm drinking far too much again ... but its short term

Thanks all for your kind comments earlier

Great to hear how you're all doing ... think I'll try and keep reading to keep motivated ...

Take care all

Lorraine

That is a perfectly sensible reason not to take nal. If you might need surgery at any moment, obviously you want to be prepared for surgery at any moment.

It's also a good reason not to drink, of course. In fact, that was one of my motivations for moving faster towards getting a grip on my drinking -- I hope to have some elective surgery, and heavy drinkers are more likely to have surgery problems.

It has been about a month since you got the nal, though, so I can see why you're starting to wonder. Is there a time when you'll know for sure about the surgery?

Hello all!!

Sorry I've been away for a while ... here's the story ...

I started back in February and was delighted to see my UK units reduce from about 60 UK per week to about 30 per week until July (and with 2 or 3 AF a week .. hooray) .. when disaster struck!

I couldn't get any more Nal!!

... I'd been ordering on line from Goldpharma .. but they seem to have put their price up from about £42 for 28 pills to £176!! eeek!

I did try some clinic in Glasgow advertising online Sinclair method Scotland - complete waste of time! total rip off ... wanted £220 for consultation and more money for private prescription ...

So ... I'm back

Needless to say I've not taken any Nal since July and my units are right back up there ... feeling rather disappointed but just hoping I can get some from Allday maybe and get right back to it!!

Any advice/encouragement welcome for anyone?!

PS Also - UKers - please let me know how you get Nal (My GP is not an option) Thanks!

I bought mine Naltrexona Accord over the counter in Spain for £23 for a month! Last week....for me and 2 friends!
