Do you actually need a doctor's assistance? Is naltrexone a controlled substance in France? Certainly it can't hurt to have your liver checked first, but if you can't find an open-minded doctor, you can just start yourself on a tiny dose (say, a quarter of a tablet = 12.5 mg) and see how you react.

The sleep thing is hard. I'm not liking that part. It has to be done, though, so I'll just live with it until I can think of a good way to resolve it.

I have a really good rapport with my GP, he is aware of my problems, and really supported me through my hysterectomy. He looks to be the same age as my son, haha. I like to think he is looking into this, thinking it through, and wondering if it might be an amazing new way to combat drinking. If not, for sure, I will look into self-medicating, in an internet way.

That's good to hear.

A lot of doctors are overworked, though. It wouldn't hurt to reconnect with him after a few days, if you don't hear anything. Good luck. :)

So. After waiting a couple of weeks, I rang my GP. He had not received my email. Grrrr. We talked it through, he said he would look in to it, and call me back in a week. He has said he is unable to prescribe me Naltrexone. Any British people care to tell me the best way to buy online? Who from? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am in Lincolnshire and bought NAL over the counter in Spain without a script. Been on a low dose for 5 days so far.

If you look on The Sinclair Method page on Facebook, Joanna has listed where to buy it online in the UK at a reasonable price.

The link is there on the page. I hope this helps. x

Also on the verge of getting it on the NHS, but keeping quiet until this happens. Don't want to tempt fate!!

Nalmefene can be prescribed on the NHS in Scotland!!

I have bought mine online from Goldpharma (brand name Revia) and also from All Day Chemist (Naltima). It was easy to order...I didn't have to speak to anyone...and was received within 10 days. There wasn't much diffderence in price, but I found the Revia slightly easier to swallow as they're oval shaped and are scored in the middle so easy to break when you're taking a half dose.

May I ask how much you paid?

I pain £23 for a month supply in Spain.

Thank you for your help. I have ordered! Really excited. Perhaps this year I won't ruin Christmas. I've read some interesting articles though the FB group of TSM today. It's actually HAPPENING. Thanks again xx
