Recently was on a binge that ended with me going to rehab. I showed and blew a .40, so I had to be sent to the ER. Now I've been bad enough so that the only place I can be minitored is being admitted in a hospital but this time things were different. I recognized DTs were on their way, so over 2 days and tons of ativan I'm over the DT,s. However I'm afraid when I get out I'll almost instantly pick up. I feel so mich worse in terms of cravings. I did start TSM but I didn't comply. (why I had DTs)Now I'm interested in the injection. My question is how many of you successful tsm-ers had DTs, and is it especially dangerous to restart so soon after DTs?

Instinct says might wanna wait since I'm still days past DTs but I don't

I have never had DT's. It is no easy task to get to 0.40. What did you do, drink a handle in 8 hours or something?

Do you mean starting TSM and drinking with Nal so soon?

Do you simply mean, getting the injections so soon? Are the injections Naltrexone?

Since I really don't know much about DT's, I guess you better ask your Dr. However, if you are going to drink, whether it is sooner or later, I would recommend, Naltrexone 1 hour before you start.

Sounds to me he can't trust himself to take the pill. Hmmm. The injection I believe delivers a steady dose of Naltrexone which may or may not result in extinction. I don't know how effective it would be.

I am however of the thought that TSM/Nal does require motivation in order to change, and I'm not sure that would work if you are relying on the injection to do the footwork. Most people have to make some effort.
