Just wanted to say hi to the community! I have been on TSM for just 3 days, and have not noticed any decline in drinking (been hitting about a 12 pack a night). Also, at 50 mg, I feel Bizarre, like i'm kinda spacey. Also, I feel a little nauseated. Anyone else experience this in the beginning?

First Nal ever, I was very spacey. It takes a while, especially if you are a 12 pack per night person. Many seem to take a full week or two to get used to the Nal/Nausea feeling. Some longer.

thanks chris! glad I found this forum, and will definitely be keeping you all posted on my progress. I guess I just didn't think that I'd really feel any different from the nal (even though my doctor told me that I was going to feel really WEIRD for a few days.)

Hi pkrosec, welcome aboard.
When I first started I felt spacey and light headed and also had some really vivid dreams. The worst side effect though was the nausea which made me feel really yucky. Following advice on here, I dropped down to a 12.5mg dose and took it with an over the counter anti-sickness med and then slowly increased my dosage up to the full 50mg over a couple of weeks. Stick with it and I'm sure you'll soon get over the side effects...some people say that side effects are a good sign that the Nal is working (I don't know how true that is!).
