Hi DTW I read your blog b/c I saw on Kekede's post that you are going for the 90 day AF goal. Good for you! I did 30 days in the fall of 2012 and then 46 days over lent this spring. It's a great motivator when you are able to do these stretches. It's also obviously very good for your health and if you do continue to drink afterwards, you will probably notice a huge drop in how often and how much you drink, particularly with Nal (which unfortunately doesn't agree w/ me and makes me feel terrible).
Reading about your marriage, it sounds like you and DH could really benefit from counseling but I suppose DH would never agree to that??? It's worth a try, particularly if you both want to stay married. I did about 8-9 months of counseling w/ my DH this past year. I hated it but the marriage was important enough for me to suffer thru it. And it was helpful. We gained huge ground in understanding each other and our communication vastly improved. Even me, the one who didn't want to do it, waived the white flag and I think we are both happier and our marriage is on a better footing now.
Hang in there. Even if you can't change your DH at all. You do have the power to change the way you live your life and doing the AF run is one way to prove to yourself that you do have control.

Started TSM Aug 2012. Had some success but over time the Nal SEs were so awful that stopped taking Nal. Managed a 30 day (Sept 2012) and 46 day (Feb/Mar 2013) AF period which also contributed to getting drinking under control.
