Hi,
My name is Jessina and I am 55 years old. I quit drinking in 1999 with the help of Naltrexone. It was like a miracle. I went for almost 2 years without drinking, relapsed over the holidays, then went 9 months drinking a few days a month. From 2001 to 2010 I remained sober. Since then there have been times I would drink, but not often. Over the winter I started drinking more and more often. I am still not back to the place where I was in 2000, drinking heavily every day, but I am having a very hard time not drinking and thoughts of a drink are starting to consume my days.
I had to go to a different state to get a Naltrexone prescription back in 1999.
Just yesterday I read about The Sinclair Method for the first time. WOW! I read everything I could find online and found this website. Today I bought the book The Cure of Alcoholism and also Babylon Confidential, both from Kindle. I could not wait to learn more!
Remembering how hard it was to get a doctor to prescribe Naltrexone, I went ahead and ordered online. I am so anxious to get started. I feel so out of control. I wish so badly I had the Naltrexone here right now so I could start getting my life back together.
I ordered from Reliable Rx earlier today, just 10 because I don't have a lot of extra money right now. It looks like it will be awhile before those will be shipped though.
I have an appointment next Thursday with my regular doctor and will see if she will write me a prescription or refer me to another doctor.
I hope some of you are still here. Most of the posts I have been reading are from 2009.
Thank you, Jessina
