Hey guys,
As a notorious blackout-binge drinker I have had a no spirits (especially brown spirits) rule that I have stuck to fairly well during my active drinking years. But beer and cider are my drinks of choice and I still drink these to excess. Blackouts, obnoxious personality change etc..
Has anyone who also sticks mainly to these drinks - "softer" stuff - had any noticeable results in their BEHAVIOUR whilst drinking on NAL and TSM? I know my absolute goal is to reach lower drinking levels and not binge at all, and also to lose the urge to drink, but so far I have noticed I am at least more controlled when I do drink.
Any similar experiences or advice?
Yes definitely.
I was a cider drinker, who wierdly enough went onto alcopops(these are alcoholic 'soft drinks' in the UK
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcopop usually around 4-6% abv and fruit flavoured) which is what I was drinking when I started TSM. I'd banned myself from vodka some years ago when I realised the speed at which I could put units from that into my body was just too dangerous. With TSM drinking the alcopops, I experienced an immediate drop in consumption right from the start and can say the times when I've drunk too much have usually been when drinking wine or stronger beers in the months since.
So do not worry, if anything I think you'll experience better results than if you drank anything stronger.
