AA is seeking a spiritual solution to the physical problem of addiction to alcohol. TSM seeks to solve scientificly, a problem that AA says is spiritual. I say that both are off base. I think that some people just live harder lives than others. Some have more pain than others. Some like to party more than others. For whatever reason, some drink more than others. But, from everything I have seen in my life, anyone who drinks enough, long enough, will develope an addiction to it. AA says alcohol addicts are inheritly different and need special treatment from God. TSM says we are all the same and offer a scientific, cure all answer. I say, what works for u, may not work for me. What works for me, may not work for u. My God drank alcohol while here on earth. AA's god condemns alcohol and wont help u if u drink alcohol. WTF. Bill W. Was a narcicist who took advantage of everyone he came across, drunk or sober. He convinced modern society that all people with alcohol problems were just like him and that the only solution was his AA. Well screw that. It's not true. TSM claims that human beings are no different than alcohol dependent rats? Cmon! Show me a rat that feels guilt or drinks because he is ashamed or scared or suffering from depression or PTSD. My point is that it is not just physical. Life hurts and humans are aware of that.We all find ways of dealing with tat pain. I think that the people taht have done well with TSM have found other ways of dealing with pain and guilt without demonizing alcohol. I think the people who do well with AA are egomaniacs like Bill W. Who need to be knocked down and put in there place and be told they are not God. Those types of drinkers are not all drinkers just as not all drinkers are chemically dependent. Different solutions for different problems. 1+1 doesn't work for the problem of finding 3. But it does work for the problem of finding 2. Anyhow, i am officialy getting off and putting away my soapbox.
