Great going man, after that spike at the fish fry, in which to be honest what with all that booze going around it was expected. I hope you managed that AF day today and the gym. I second what Barry said, I dunno about you guys but booze or an strenuous physical exercise makes me super hyper (and I am that type that gets easily aroused, well, in that other way too, which I guess is a good thing :) ) and then booze comes more as an imperative to cool me off. A massage after the gym is a good idea too if you can get one. And I 'll suggest again Chris that you might want to try adding baclofen too to the regimen if it's over the counter in the States. I think it's helped me quite a bit over the past couple of weeks that I 've started taking it on and off. Though it's tricky with the driving, but then again nal is too as per dr. E's book, probably worse than bac in terms of motor coordination and peripheral vision.

Anyway, great going, all the best, keep us posted.

AF free Tuesday, 2nd in the same log week. Went to gym also. Both firsts since starting TSM. Feeling pretty good today. 60 mins on the elliptical and 10 mins in the dry sauna per barryb. Felt pretty good. I enjoy the our gym immensely when I go. Both the good feeling from the exercise and the opportunity to people watch ;) . Unfortunately, booze has been one of the things hindering me from going. Also slept pretty good, and I had some good time with the wife before sleep :D ! I was plenty tired, and would have went straight to sleep if the wife hadn't stepped up and made sure I stayed up for a bit ;) !

On a different note.

How stupid am I? I got the afternoon blahs yesterday at work, and started an internal debate, as to whether I should go AF and/or go to the gym. I debated with myself the following:

1: Go to gym and get home AF.
2: Go to gym, and then have a drink on the ride home, I earned it!
3: Don't go to gym, but go AF since not going to the gym!
4: Just grab a brew and head home.

Obviously, I should choose to go to the gym and go AF for ME and my FAMILY. However, since I already posted on my "weekly progress" that I was going to the gym, I felt more guilt from that, than the right reasons (Myself/My Family). It just seems strange to me, however, whatever works, right?

Taking your lead and taking my drunkard chain smoking ass to the gym tomorrow Chris. Kudos for taking the right turn there. This "no", or "not today", takes some f***ing guts and stamina to pull.

Not so good last night. Needed to go by a fellow booze buddies house on the way home. I knew it would be offered to me so I grabbed 3 2x4 malt's as hopefully a limit, and I purchased a couple of diet white sodas to cut the malts down.

So estimated units were 9 between, 4-830 pm. Estimated BAC at 830 pm 0.054 arrival home.

I just shocked myself a bit. I did the http://bloodalcoholcalculator.org/#LinkURL calculator and it was really high at first. I was like wow, wtf, but I realized I did not change it from minutes to hours. 9 beers in 4.5 minutes. Breathalyzer still not here yet. Coming from China or Hong Kong.

Going for a repeat today of Tuesday. Gym time and AF today.

Your actual BAC has wild variations depending on food intake and other factors, so those calculators are a very rough estimate. Still, it's great that you're becoming more focused on your BAC in terms of driving. I would argue that this also is an effect of TSM as the wild, take-all-risks attitude arises partly from the endorphin rush you got without Naltrexone. You're becoming way more conscientious of alcohol, how it feels, what it does to you, etc..., as your "rational brain" (or however you want to call it) is slowly becoming the master, as opposed to your subconscious or "animal brain / beast." That's why I made that comment about the wall between addicted-you and cured-you. If you keep on taking your Naltrexone one hour before drinking (and you seem very committed to it), there's nothing you can do to stop this trajectory that you're on. I'd say that in about one to two months, you're going to look back on the past three months and wonder how you ever thought like you did. It will seem strange, like it was a whole different person. That's my prediction, at least.

At some point, and this may be the final "brick in the wall," you're going to have to make it known to all these "drinking buddies" that you're simply not going to drink like that anymore. That may be the hardest part for you. For me, that wasn't really an issue, because I don't have any. Yes, I have zero guys I hang out with and drink. That's obviously made this much easier for me because I don't have the intense social pressures you do. My Bible-Belt social environment is very conducive to non-drinking, even among the Catholics here. If I told my many Catholic friends that I was going to spend Good Friday eating fish and drinking beer all day, they would be shocked! That would be highly, highly frowned upon.

Good night last night. Worked until 6:15 pm, went to gym, Elliptical from 6:30-7:30 pm. Lots of scenery ;) . Dry sauna for 10 minutes.

Off to grocery store on the way home (a bit smelly from the gym), stared at the beer/booze isle as I went buy successfully. Got home at 9pm. Ate a late, somewhat unhealthy 930 pm dinner, and bed at 10pm. (No lovin. :( I was tired and so was she. Oh well. Good day and good nights sleep.)

Feeling good today. The only booze situations, (other than my own brains little devil), this weekend are "Final Four" parties. (Anything to have a party, right?)

3 Booze free days in 1 week. Never probably in last 10 years, (except February 2012, 1 month booze free, that came to an end rather fast and furious.)

Week 11 so far S0, S6, M9, T0, W9, T0

Week 11 projections 28

(Projections are not as fun when you start out with a goose egg at the beginning of the week. They tend to go up throughout the week. When you start the week with a binge-bender, then the projections hopefully go down throughout the week.)

Week 11 results S0, S6, M9, T0, W9, T0, F10

Week 11 totals 34

Friday, out of office, in the field, got off work with 2 co-workers early at 2 pm near several cool bars. Beauty of a day. They wanna go to a bar, and I oblige. I drink at about half pace, compared to previous trips out with them at this bar.

4 total beers, and I say, see ya. That would have been cool, but I failed myself and purchased 3 2x4 24oz cans on the way home. Took the long road home, scenic country road route.

So, I could have quit at 4 units, but had to drink 2 of the 3 big boys, that I estimate are about 3 units each, so 10 total for Friday. I did somehow choose not to drink the 3rd can I bought or any of the Natty or Select beer in my fridge at home after dinner. I made dinner, (mostly frozen food), we ate, we watched 2 movies and went to bed around 10pm. Without nal, I'm sure I would have hit 20 last night.

On a good note. I feel guilty/bad at 10. 10 is a high number now. Prior to TSM, 10 was my minimum for any given weekday. Pre TSM, if I had 10 prior to getting home on a weekday, and then had none at home/later in the evening, I felt that was a good thing.

Hi Christopher! I'm a newbie and have been following your thread, and that of some others... you're making great progress! Great to read about it.
I'm curious- what software/app do you use to graph your units? I'd like to track mine the same way.
