If I wait more than one hour after taking the pill, is it less effective?

Last week I took it 3 hours before drinking, so I'm not sure if that is an issue?

Any thoughts?

I have wondered the same thing. I am in week 9, and currently shoot for 1.5 hours, simply because I found myself missing the 1 hr rule, and ended up more like 45mins, or 30mins, or even 15 mins on accident. I would rather error on the over 1 hr, versus error on the under 1 hr.

1 hour is optimum however I took my Nal quite early in the day at the start of my TSm journey, because I knew when the cravings hit I might not wait the full hour. If it was a longer gap than 5 or 6 hours then I'd take a second dose.

It didn't harm my success, I would however recommend for the best chance to try keep as close to the 1 hour as possible. Just do your very best.

One thing I use to notice then using Nal was that if you just took it with say water... maybe 15 minutes later you could feel it stuck in you throat so my advice would always to be to take it with food to make sure it enters the stomach to breakup.

This can happen with any medication or pill, there's a name for it in the medical world but it's generally because your throat isn't lubricated enough or you've swallowed it side-on! Not something exclusive to Nal by a long way.
