Dave, Welcome. I've heard stories of Japanese workers after work -- how they love to drink beer after beer. That's really interesting. I would love to go there some day. Based on your brief story, I would say there's a great chance that the Sinclair method would work for you (mainly because you seem to be a high functioning, motivated individual with a high endorphin drive when drinking -- that's what makes you get that crazy drive when you start -- you just want more and more and more and more!!!). Regarding the obtaining of Naltrexone, I suppose you've thought about getting it via the Japanese health care system. If you want to keep anonymous, I don't see why www.alldaychemist.com wouldn't ship there, but I could be wrong. Regarding your liver, if you're going to go without a doctor, that will be a judgment call you have to make. Clearly, you're drinking at liver-toxic levels and, if you're as successful with Naltrexone as some people have been, you're liver will appreciate the exchange you make between one measly pill and all those beers (I, for example, have now drank about 30 less drinks for every pill that I've taken). At 50mg, Naltrexone is only mildly stressful on the liver. The liver problems in studies come from about 400-500mg a day. So, personally, I wouldn't think twice about your liver when it comes to trying the Sinclair Method. If you're lucky, you should be able to know pretty quickly if it will work or not. I knew within two pills that Naltrexone was going to knock my drinking problem on its butt. So, go for it and let us know what happens. If you're #2 at a company in Japan, surely you will succeed in this, too.
