Well my craving came back again last night. :x So I drank with the Nal
about six drinks. I don't feel really bad just tired and hung over the
usual.
Hope the cravings leave me alone for a while now.
We will see.

Good for you to go 6 days AF! You've got the cravings but you did your body a favor during that period. I too am feeling waves of cravings and, given my mostly abstinent path, I know it will be a long time for this tsm process to work (if it does given my methods).

Anyway today is a new day to just look forward. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi RR, Yes I am doing tsm....sort of in that I'm not "drinking daily" w/ Nal to promote extinction. When I was drinking daily, I was taking Nal...but then (for lack of a better description) the **** hit the fan w/ my marriage and I stopped cold turkey. This happened before "extinction" occurred....I managed to go 35+ days AF (really wanting to clean up my act w/ my husband & family). But my ultimate goal is not total abstinence b/c the reality is eventually I will fail so I have had I think 5-6 occasions over the last 2 months where I have taken Nal and have had 1 glass of wine. In most of those cases, I didn't really enjoy the glass of wine and it was not difficult to "just have one".

So going forward, I have some self-imposed rules. I no longer drink at home (too close to the daily habit)...except I will make an exception on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (but still try to stick to that 1-drink rule). If I do have a drink, I take Nal beforehand and have ONLY one drink. So far this has worked for me. In the meantime, I continue to do a lot of reading about alcoholism and have learned a lot about why I started to drink daily.
