i had two major worries about naltrexone. 1 is that i fall into the unlucky 20%. 2 was the spaced out feeling people said they got. a long time ago i tried wellbutrin for smoking. it gave me a detached feeling, i had no sensation at all, i felt void and dead. i couldnt tolerate it at all. i did get spaced out from naltrexone, but it was quite pleasant. other than slight chills, that was the only real side effect.

onto drinking. im starting with 25mg. i had 2 high gravity 24 oz beers and 2 glasses of wine. beer 8.1%, wine 10%. i was pretty tired when i started. i was hoping that naltrexone would lower my tolerance, and slow my pace of drinking right of the bat. i didnt notice a difference. it wasnt a work night and normally id have about 11 or 12 units, but i had 9. i was going to drink another beer, but i took one little sip, and i really didnt want it, which is the only thing out of the ordinary that happened.


i have one question. 24 oz @ 8.1% = 3.5 units. does that sound right? or is anyone getting a different # of units?

mark think possitive, you will not be in the 20%. plus you have a family history witch is a good sighn you will respond to tsm. you drank less that is also a good sighn. plus mark not everyone experinces the so called honeymoon, and still get good results to tsm. as far as counting i dont know i dont count, i drink the same every night and it never ever changes expect the first 10 days starting tsm. good luck on this jorney.
