Drank to excess last night - am THRILLED about it today!

I was SO BUMMED last night and today. Had guests for dinner, and during the evening my drinking levels were at my highest, pre-sinclair levels - approximately twice what I've been drinking, of late. I beat myself up all last night and this morning over it. Was hungover for the first time since starting Nal, so around noon I decided to quit suffering and have 'a hair of the dog' at lunch-time.

Went to the cupboard where we keep the Naltrexone, and grabbed the bottle. Took a second look. IT WASN'T NALTREXONE AT ALL. I somehow got my BF's allergy meds mixed up with the Naltrexone yesterday, and hadn't noticed it. I opened his bottle, and sure enough, the allergy pills look nearly identical to the Naltrexone.

So I realized that the naltrexone I've been taking really has had a VERY positive effect on the amount I'm drinking, and that when I inadvertently took allergy medicine rather than naltrexone. . .I was right back up to drinking as much as I ever did, right off the bat.

IT'S WORKING!!!! IT'S WORKING!!! YEAH!!!! IT'S WORKING!!!!

Well all joking aside, I read this stuff and am seriously worried AGAIN about the success this method will have with me. I don't mean to discourage anyone, but I have passed the 3 month mark and NOTHING. Nothing. zip. nada. zero.

I will be a complete mess in another 3 months if I have to report I am in the 25% (a damn big group, folks) that this doesn't work for. I don't know what I'll do. Curse God...b/c I am actually praying for success multiple times daily. Along with the success of my new romance...

I'm a glass half full kinda gal, literally & figuratively speaking, so who knows...again, I do not want to burst anyone's bubble...a little bummed to read about the amazing differences people are feeling & wish I could chime in. Can't. Waiter....??

Oh I know, know, know! I have the same thing happening! 12 weeks and I am upping the consumption. I am going by blind faith. Let's KEEP THE FAITH! houtx... But for the most part, I have not been getting drunk, but I did slip up and managed to do just that twice this week, and that has me concerned. In fact I am rather sick with my hangover I have been living with all day today and drinking through it, yuk, and the wine really tasted terrible and yet I just kept drinking. At least I have stopped and it's been three hours now, no wine.

Wait a minute, houtx. Have you read your own signature line? Your weekly units are consistently down by a measurable amount over your pre-Sinclair units.

And ART, you slipped up and got drunk twice last week. . .how many times were you doing that over, say, last November and December? Looking at your pre-Sinclair consumption, I'd guess it was 6 or 7 days a week. And you don't see progress? C'mon now!

NONE of us is 'there' yet. . .but we're on our way, sistas!
