I have decided to continue TSM while awaiting Dr. Eskapa's answer regarding benzos. Someone trustworthy PMed me and pointed out that since the opiate receptors are still blocked while on Nal and I am still performing an undesired behavior (drinking), why wouldn't it work, if the science behind the explanation of pharmaceutical extinction is true. It wouldn't matter what meds a person is taking. However, it may affect the duration of the recovery because of the complications of being cross-addicted. Still extinction must still must occur, if opiate receptors are the cause of the addictive learned behavior (alcoholism).
