Hi All,

I'm new here and was wondering if any body knew what the highest alcohol use was starting TSM. And how much did it help that person eventually reduce AU to. Maybe even abstinence? I'm in US and my doctor put me on NAL after a bit of pleading.

Hi there, and welcome! You can get a good idea of the "range" by reading in the Weekly Progress thread, where many people track their entire journey from "pre-TSM" and all points along the way. Most people there show their units in their signature, listing the pre-TSM amounts and then the progressive #'s over their journey, which can take anywhere from a few months (occasionally - that's pretty rare) to a year or more. Also we track our "AF's" (alcohol-free days). So...off the top of my head, I think anywhere from 30 - 70 or 80 units/week is not uncommon and some over 100. Look at my signature and you can get a sense of my progress...not fast, but continuing to improve and my life is absolutely transformed. Age and how long you've been drinking can be a factor, but not always. TSM is a quirky beast, and results vary, but many, many people get to a place w/ alcohol where they are comfortable!
