The past few days have been incredible!!! AF with little effort, I guess I had a good enough scare or perhaps I saw the light/extinction light at the end of the tunnel. All in all and keeping my excitement in check, plus the knowledge this is still a journey. I had been enjoying myself way too much, I have decided to really buckle down. Honestly I have been feeling like sh*t. Wondering when is this going to stop…

My thyroid has been going way out of wack, gaining unwarranted weight, extreme tiredness, no concentration, and unfocused thinking. I HAD TO DO SOMETHING! Right now to keep a story short I have to get my butt to work. I started doing some research on this and finding I have been eating all the wrong things and I can actually cure my hypothyroidism through my diet.

Talk soon,
Zippy Smiles

Well, look at you...and your #'s, cool! You seem to have been taking notes, during your Very Bad Awful Week, and have returned to TSM w/ a vengeance. And thats good you figured out the thyroid factor - all those things sound like they would add to the "no nal" situation, too.

Thanks for the interesting picture of the "lizard brain"...perfect! I was wondering what a Lizard Brain actually looks like (as opposed to the whole lizard).

Hi Zip - great job on getting yourself recommitted to TSM. Your resolve seems particularly strong today, so keep it going.

Definitely get your thyroid checked out - that's not something you want to let go untreated.

I have been taking thyroid med's for, wow, 20 years! It's been under control for the past 10, this past year it's decided to go wacko. Since I have started changing what and the way I eat this week I have already seen a big difference in energy level. This is proof that this is going to at least get it controllable. It's said that this will completely cure it without having to take medication at all. I really don't care so much about that, what I do care about is keeping it in check. As well as the alcohol deal...

The pictures where fun, I was really board at work so I decided to have some fun looking em up.

Have a good one guys and gals!!!

Wow! You get my vote for Most Improved-Best Rebound award on the forum, girl! Doesn't it feel great to not have a hangover??? I'm finding I'm sleeping SO much better these days, and the AFs are coming more easily. Tonight was a "drinking night", and boy I went crazy: 3 beers, whoa doggies! I'm gettin' to be a real light weight...All for now - ;)

ZIP! Oh my god. We seem to both have had THE VERY BAD WEEK at the same time, which is so scary and therefore I 'm so sorry I wasn't around to post and offer support! I had three binges in quick succession involving a return to drugs which I hadn't done in years :( and other really horrible and dangerous behaviors. Two of my binges were also because I got off nal, and the third one I think the nal just wasn't strong in my system again. NOW WE KNOW. Seriously, without nal I swear it's WORSE than before - that reuptake stuff might just be true. I'm glad to see that you're getting back on the horse - so am I. Let's lick this thing, ok???

Hi Zip

I'm so glad to hear that you've turned things around after your awful week. I hope the change in diet is continuing to work wonders too.

Cheers

HiYa!!!

Thank God it's the weekend! Hell week at work one great thing is I got a new boss that I really like! The new diet is quite hard I'm starving all the time I have to make some changes. I have seen a drastic change in energy level which tells me something is working.

Being hell week I drank more than I wanted to, meaning not as many AF day’s as anticipated. Talk about being a light weight Chrissie, 3 drinks I’m sleeping, the following day I’m paying! The hangovers have been the worst this week. I think this is because of the change in my diet also. My numbers will still be fairly low, I have today to end up the week we’ll see how it goes. The struggle has been having a hangover and wanting the hair of the dog to feel better. If I can kick this train of thinking I believe I’ll start having more AF days.

EL thanks good to hear from you, I think there’s something in the stars that keep some of us in line with where we are at. The binges are really hard to overcome, for me it’s because I just want to keep drinking. I never was tempted to try anything else other than alcohol. I tried smoke when I was a teen and didn’t like it, made me way too paranoid! Getting back on track is a good thing, I’m not going to question that anymore.

I do believe Naltrexone + Drinking = Cure!!!

Smiles, Zip
