Chrissie!!!

Wish you could hear me say that, it's kinda like Chr-r-is-s-say... With an attitude. After reading some of your posts around, (ha, good thang it's not sleeping around, just a silly thought. My mind is all over the place today, but hay, at least it's still all attached. ) I wanted to butt in to say dig in those heels girl. Get an attitude and just do it, don't let that monster bite your behind. If you really want to string those AF days, you can do it, I know you can. I was going to try n make a bet to see if we could pull this week off as an AF week until Friday and then crack a beer together on line. The opperative here is was, I ended up drinking a whole bottle of white wine last night. At least Monday was an AF day for me.

Smiles Zip

Gotta try to get some work done before I'm outta here today at noon.

Hi Chrissie

I hope the beer drinking week is going well. If I could stick to beer I'd be a lot better off too. But I prefer the taste & kick of the vino too...

Cheers
Sticky ;)

6 months on TSM! Hmm...seems like a milestone worth commenting on...

I didn't think TSM would take this long, but of course most of us learn differently in that regard, and I've come to really appreciate the exact path it has taken for me: few side effects, not really very roller-coastery, and slow, steady progress. I've been able to enjoy drinking along the way, but also like the fact the buzz is ever-lessening: I don't think I fear the idea of life w/o the buzz at ALL, but who knows where I'll end up in that regard??? I'm very confident about the future, because my here & now is quite wonderful!

Last week, I took a page from the play books of Ketchikan and Nalwayout and added an element of Motivation into my TSM program, which I'm very hopeful about. I plan to give a report on that in the next week or two, and will leave you on that mysterious note... 8-)

Can't wait to hear the news Chrissie....and I agree that slow and steady has been the way for me as well. And a bit of motivation has been key at times too.

Hey there Chrissie,

Ya know for being on TSM for only 6 months, your numbers are looking fantastic! I'm hoping to hear your good news soon. Sounds like things are really looking up for you girlfriend.

Keep up the slow but steady race to the finish line....... CURE.

Best,

Hiya Chrissie

Congrats on your progress after 6 months! You are fortunate to not have had much of a roller coaster ride and those units are steadily coming down.

Hi all,

Last night was the monthly Bunco Game, and I had 2 beers. Actually, 1 and a half. Despite there being available two of my favorite brews, they 1) didn't do much for me, buzz-wise, and 2) they tasted BAD (that icky "burnt coffee" overtone). I started thinking "then WHY am I drinking them??? To get in a few extra calories?" So glug, glug, glug, down the drain. I'm such a grown up! Sometimes, anyway. ;) This morning it seems clear: I'm COMPLETELY cured, beer is silly and useless, and how could I possibly ever want one again??? But check back w/ me, oh, about 5:00 o'clock. Happy Hour has certainly slacked off, in terms of units as well as overall appeal, but not a done deal...YET.

BTW, I'm doing pretty well, in my determination to stick w/ beer - only one encounter this last week w/ Box'o'Wine. Wine was also served last night @ Bunco, but I didn't go there! :)

Chrissie

Chrissie - you're doing great!

I'm totally with you on this. I was drinking some brewskis during the National Championship game and thought to myself, "I'm not even enjoying how these taste. WHY AM I DRINKING???" It seems like our good friend "the lizard brain" is still trying to chase that buzz, despite the palate not getting any pleasure.

Keep up the great work, and stick to your beer-only plan.

Like Sticky said, 1.5 beers??? That's good! All joking about slow and steady aside, we all have nothing but time. If we continue to drink less each month, time is on our side.

It's good to see your progress! :)
