I wonder if you took the 1/4 for several days, upped it to 1/2 and the back to the full dosage if you would be ok. If you are still feeling the warm buzzy feeling, the endorphins are finding a home.

The amazing thing, to me, was the eight weeks without craving alcohol. That's huge!

Keep on nalling on!

Hi HF

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking along the same lines. Also I thought that I would take Nal several times a week even though I don't drink during the week now (at least that's my plan) Anyway, if I keep Nal in my system at least I won't feel sick from only taking it on occasion.

Well I'm off to dinner to celebrate my b day. Hopefully my wine slugging sisters won't notice that I really dont even feel like drinking tonight.

Take good care, :)

Well, the weekend went very well. 1/2 nal seemed to do the trick both Saturday night and Sunday. Both days the nal seemed to almost completely block the warm buzzy feeling from the alcohol. Yesterday I really was amazed. It seemed no matter how much wine I drank, there was simply no buzz, nothing. Never lost control, but did feel sleepy. And the best part was, no nausea. Its changed that way I think about wine now. Starting to feel like why bother to drink. I guess thats really a good thing. So, in any event, I'm really happy about the events of this weekend. Feels like my cure could be coming soon. :)

Nal on everyone.....

Well done Nalway

Maybe some AF time will help me as I've failed miserably with TSM lately. I'll give it a go, otherwise it'll be back to trying not to drink at all.
I hope things are still going well for you.

Cheers
Sticky

Hey PP,

Thanks for the compliments. It was amazing to me tonight also, I took my 1/2 Nal waited an hour and it was all I could do to finish ONE gin and tonic. That was enough to satisfy me. I did not want anymore. Hmmmm, this is not like me. But no complaints here. Things are looking up I think. :))

Have a great weekend everyone....

Nal on.

Hello everyone,

After this weekend its become obvious to me that I could very well be on the cured list. I'm drinking 1 or 2 at the most. Friday night 1, Saturday 2 and last night 1, and during the work week "goose egg". I really did not enjoy my drink last night. Pretty much forced it down actually. I took 3/4 of a nal and it did make me a bit naseated but not for long. I think 1/2 nal is the right dose for me, since thats what I took Friday and Saturday with no ill effects, yet the nal kept me from over consuming. I find that if I begin to feel the any buzz at all its mostly a "tired buzz" and my brain is telling me "you don't wan't this' or "you don't need this". So I let the alchohol wear off a bit and continue on with my evening so much happier. A nice detox soak in the tub with bath salts was nice. Its a nice relaxing way to end the night. A cup of my favorite tea and off to bed.

So folks thats my update. I'm so grateful to you all for your wonderful support during these 42 weeks of uncertainty. If I can say one thing to someone who is struggling through this its just keep going. It will work and you will eventually be free from this monster. You just have to have faith in TSM. And sometimes that's really difficult.

I'll be sticking around for a while to see how you all are doing. It sounds like Sticky is on the right track now and I'm so glad for that. I just know that this will be her year! Thank you Crissie, Deja, Heavy Fuel, Tiller, PP, Nipit and the rest. You've all been awesome and I wish you luck on your journey.

Well, take good care and have a great week.

Nal on,

Oh, MAN...that is so terrific! Nalwayout, between your "probably cured" status AND your weight loss, you are truly my hero!!! 42 weeks...that's probably right about on schedule. Thank you for the report...I'll look forward to seeing your name on the Cured list.

Chrissie :D

That's awesome news! Being on the semi cured list has to be a great feeling. Not only have you lost weight, you have regained control. This is definitely going to be your year! :)

Do keep everyone posted and be sure to add your name to the cured list. I think that is unbelievably important for those who will make the journey after us. Posters seem to hit the point where they are free, and like birds, they fly away.

Happy for you! :)
