Hay Sticky, don't think for one minute your too old baby, I think we're about the same age. I'm hitting 50 this year! :o Talk about feeling old. Ah it's just a state of mind anymore, there is certainly a lot to be said for growing old gracefully. Let's enjoy every minute of it. What joy, we have a new lease on life with TSM. So turn up the music and dance!!!

Smile...
Zippy

I'll chime in and say it IS a state of mind...trust me, I've been young and VERY dismal/sad/depressed/lethargic whatever you want. I actually think that I've gotten happier, saner, and more even keeled as I've gotten older...

Hi ladies

Oh God - I wrote about being too old when I was drunk and feeling down. Didn't mean it!! That's the first time I've written something really dumb on here when I've been drinking, even though I've worried lots of times about what I might have written. It also shows me where alcohol takes me sometimes...
Sorry to highjack your thread Chrissie, and hope you are having a great week. Happy Spring! It's of course now autumn here and there's a nip in the air, though March & April are usually nice.

Take care
Sticky :P

Hello all,

I'm beginning a week of vacation/house guests...all big fun anticipated. (Nalwayout, my OWN wine-slugging sister arrives this afternoon, just in time for Happy Hour! ;) ) So...I know my units will probably be higher this week, but I will then get back on track and I no longer worry about getting out of control or being unable to stop. Who knows? Maybe I can even slip in an AF day or two. I seem to be in a pattern now of an AF just about every other day - it just seems like a good idea, and no longer "too HARD". :)

Last night I went to the monthly neighborhood Bunco Game, which is always a lot of fun - and I no longer wonder how hungover I will be the next day, which makes it even MORE fun (is this REALLY how most of the world lives, lucky dogs???) Anyway, I kept the evening to 4 aus – over 3 hours – which actually resulted in a very low-grade hangover this morning. I've noticed just recently that the hangovers are triggered at much lower levels than pre-TSM. Not hellacious, but I really appreciate that negative reinforcement, also! I mean, at the end of the evening, the hostess set a glass of Bailey's Irish Creme in front of me...I looked at it...and didn't touch it...didn't want it. Wow! I've come a LONG ways, baby...older & wiser, whoda thunk

Chrissie

Great update, Chrissie. You've really made a ton of progress so far, and I totally hear you on the brutal hangovers that linger despite the reduction in intake. I think this is just another sign that TSM is doing its thing.

Enjoy your vacation and family!

Loving life, it sounds like Chrissie! Glad to hear it. A lot of what you said really resonates with me - I know some weeks will be higher in consumption than others, but it's not too stressful anymore! It sounds like you're in a really good place. I hope that continues!

Hey Chrissie,

What fantastic progress you've made! I am very proud of you and how far you've come. It is such a great feeling to have control and live life withought fear of making a fool of oneself. You are right "Who woulda thunkit"?

I'm trying hard to find the time to cheer everyone on. Just trying to keep up. But just know that you and everyone on this forum are in my thoughts daily. I'm sending positive thoughts your way!

Keep on truckin.....

Best wishes,

Hiya Chrissie

Glad to hear things are going so well for you. Enjoy a few wines with your wine-slugging sis! And the others. I hope it isn't too stressful having people to stay. I expect it will be nice to have some time off work.

Nal on
Sticky ;)

Hiya!!! Chrissie!!!

Long time no talk, I've missed you! Sounds like you are in a really good place, I'm drawing on your strength, right now am feeling your joy with where you're at. I'm feeling the same way today and never thought I would feel this way again. So "whod a thunk".

Hope you had a great week of vacation and time with your sis and guests.

Zippy Smiles 8-)
