All is well, it's my day off and I can't sleep ~ go figure! :|

Zippy is still smiling ;) Looking out into the back yard at the beautiful snow covered trees with gentle snow flakes falling. It's so peaceful you can't help but smile on the inside. It's almost as if the One greater than I is telling me everything is going to be ok. My mother would tell me this when I'd get upset, it would always bring me a since of peace.

Work couldn't be better, this new year has given me a new attitude and energy I've never had before. Thursday was a super fantastic day with a possibility of a raise. I celebrated that night with a bottle of white wine and hot dogs for dinner. I payed for it Friday  still with a positive attitude. I didn't beat myself up :o I guess I'm learning to love myself regardless. What joy!!!

Great to hear from you Chrissie, I love your posts. Just had a crazy thought: Wouldn't it be fun if we could meet some day? :P

WHITE wine??? In that case, I hope they were turkey hot dogs (heh-heh-heh...)
No, truly, I LOVE hot dogs, and that dinner - followed by a box of Little Debbies - would pretty much describe my idea of a perfect meal...

Boy, your year is off to a great start, on all fronts, WTG! Good job, not being down on yourself over that bit of a hangover...it doesn't accomplish anything, and we KNOW there will be less & less of them in the future.

I, too, had a good week, and esp. compared to where I was last weekend - feeling discouraged or rather, impatient w/ the slow progress of TSM. But...that's just the way it IS, and the signs of progress continue, and are REAL. Not even the most critical, cynical part of me can deny that I'm light years from where I was a year ago...or even 3 months ago! In the meantime, I've been finishing up some projects that I'd been procrastinating over, and that's always a real upper, too. :D

Hi Chrissie and Zippy!!!

We are all on the same page. Lots of energy to accomplish tasks and positive attitudes; glad to hear it. I had a wild date Friday night and it was lots of fun. Too much wine but lots of dancing and fun.....I was a little discouraged, but not beating myself up either. That's so important.

Hay!

Had to stop by this morning, feeling a bit shaky. I drank yesterday without Nal it's kind of messing with my head. I'm going to work out and try to burn some of this off. I started drinking in the morning making breakfast then throughout the day up until dinner at 4P. Feel asleep after dinner then drank a gallon of water, I'm surprised I wasn't up all night pissing.

Off to work out then work, I'll check back later today.

Sounds like the roller coaster to me, Zip. I'd bet it's the thirsty brain chasing the reward circuit. No fun but part of the process. Chalk it up to an extinction burst and move on!

Zippy, your thirsty brain IS going away, no doubt about it: TSM is definitely a process of "2 steps forward, 1 step back"...a lurching way to move forward, but still we ARE moving forward. Pick yourself up, brush the dried grass off your keister, and go get 'em, girl!

Chrissie ;)

Dusting the keister off this morning. I'm smiling underneath the veil of a alcohol blur. Hoping the treadmill will burn this off and put an even bigger smile on. I'm reminded "Only positive thoughts!!!"

Ah, if only the TSM treadmill was as "steady on" & controllable as the ones at the gym...but it's more like the occasions you see of people being flung off the end & sides! We just have to grin sheepishly, and climb back on for another lap...

Having run this particular analogy into the ground, I, myself will shuffle off... ;)

Chrissie (currently smiling) :D

Oh, Zippy, I just read your somewhat sad post on EL's thread...believe me, you ARE okay. The ups & downs are part of the big picture, and you are SO early on.

I don't know about you, but SOMEHOW I thought I was going to not have to go through the roller coaster thing. And why not? What made me think I was a Privileged Character? I'm quoting an especially despised Jr. Hi teacher now, but 'turns out...she was right.

You (we) are paying our dues, and someday...we WILL be Privileged Characters: TSM Cureds!
