Thanks KatieSmiles,

Thats great that L-Glutamine was such a help to you. I took it again this morning and the same thing happened, nasea set in around noon. So it was not alcohol related because last night I did not drink. I'm not going to take it tomorrow and see what happens. I'm also going to ask the forum if anyone else has had nausea with L-Glutamine. I read that the side effects are stomach upset (ie nausea) so at least I'm not alone. But it does concern me that perhaps something else may be going on. Hmmmmm, I'll just have to wait and see. BTW, I also have no desire to drink tonight either. :D

This week is going pretty well. I've switched to Blue Moon beer. Very filling! I had trouble finishing the third one. So that is good. Beer has less alcohol by volume, fills you up so I'm assuming I'll drink less.

Be sure to slow your consumption down, if you drink too fast, it's like eating too fast.

Last night was not so good. I found myself frustrated that the beer was so filling before I even finished the first one. I put it back in the fridge and ended up drinking 24oz of wine  7 units last night! Not good... My head hurts.......

Dont' beat yourself up Nalwayout, this is all part of the process. I really can't drink beer because of the stomach issues it causes me, so I know exactly what you mean about switching to wine or something else. Hang in there!

Very kind of you. Thanks. I guess I'm not out of the woods by any means. Anyway, my Kudzu Recovery tabs just came and I downed my first dose. I'll have to see if this helps. It's supposed to reduce cravings and protect the liver.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks again EL for those words of encouragement.

Week 20 yielded a higher consumption overall of 37 units, but I think that's becuase I had 0 AF days. So, per session, I'm still drinking 4 to 7 units. Still too high, but less memory loss and I do feel I have better control than when I started. I went to my Doctor last week and she continued my subscription for another three months. By January 2012 when I go to see her again I hope I have a good report for her. She was pleased at my progress which is an improvement from her doubtful attitude when I saw her in July. Well, lets see what week 21 brings.... I'm also taking Kudzu and L-glutamine. I took the full dose of L-Glutamine this morning and already feel slight nausea. But this in turn kept me from drinking before and allowed me to have my first AF day in months. Happy Monday everyone.... Lets make it a good week. :D
