I'm in my third week of TSM and have definetly had a decrease in my drinking. I'm a weekend binge drinker who usually drank 1.5L of wine every Friday and Saturday. The past two weeks I've only had half or a little over half the bottle each night. But over the past two weekends I've noticed that while drinking I become very uncomfortable and irritable (almost angry) after my 2nd or third drink. This wasn't common for me pre-tsm and I'm wondering if this is a side effect that anyones experienced? I'm not sure if it's the Naltrexone or that I'm just mad at myself for still drinking after admitting that I have a problem.

In my opinion, it is a side effect. Since you only take Nal on weekends it will perhaps take you longer to adjust to it. If you have had success, you might try cutting the dose to 25mg and see if your units stay low. You can always go back to full dose. Just a thought, perhaps others will weigh in for you here. Yeah I think it could be the nal. I get nasty side effects from it sometimes. as well, it could just be that you are not getting the good feelings from drinking that you used to, so you're noticing the depressant effect of alcohol more.
