Server, your story is super inspirational to me. And I was feeling down for a bit because I felt like a lot of numbers on this board are so low (in terms of units) and mine, although starting out lower than some, are kind of staying the same, but then I saw that I was a good, oh, 20 weeks behind you :) Made me feel better and reinforced, once again, the idea that TSM takes longer than 3-4 months for most!

Server,

It is inspirational to read your posts and see how you're doing. It definitely helps to see others' numbers dropping after many weeks. I feel good about where I am but look forward to 10-20 more weeks out. :)

Hi there,

Thanks for the kind words. Don't get down on yourselves. I remember how I felt when I reached 2 AF days before Christmas, and then spiked back up and could not have an AF day for weeks on end. I started thinking "what if this is it, what if I am one of those who don't respond or never get better". I tried to just stop obsessing about what may or may not happen in the future and instead focus on the day I am in and how I function in that day. The days flew by and only when I looked at my long term trends did I see that things were dropping. Forcing an AF day again was huge for me, a breakthrough and nothing has been the same since. I work everyday to stay in the present. Will I have a drink in a week? A month? A year? Never? I have to let the future take care of itself. Today I don't feel like a drink. I am focusing on feeling better, taking vitamins to supplement and fix nutritional deficiencies I may have subjected my body to over the years. I am listening to my body. If I'm tired, I take a nap. I'm back to reading voraciously. All things I did not, and could not do while drinking. I know that each of us wants control over AL forever, but in the end, we have to deal with each day as it comes. I wish you all the best of luck and I look forward to hearing the day when you feel you have gained control over AL, even if it is for just one day. I'll be here rooting for you!
