Looking for a dr in Springfield, Mo that will write a script for this. We are self pay, no insurance as we are self employed. Problem is arounf here every treatment/counseling resource for alcoholism is headstrong on the AA way of recovery, which we already have been there, done that, got the t shirt. WE've done out patient, in patient, medical detox, rehab, group therapy, ind therapy, couples therapy. This is possibly our last resort.....

Sorry to hear of your problems getting a RX. I am in New England and very tough convincing doctors here of something new. I went to my doctor with parts of this method in hand and just requested a try and see. Not sure if she thinks I am obstaining or using it with alcohol. I also went with info on Topamax when I started that and did not have a problem there either. I think the younger newer doctors are easier to reach with things like this. I was shocked that I was able to get the rx. I went in with the attitude that she either help me or I was going to go it alone! Hope this helps.
