Hey all,

Another weekend gone by...to fast as always! Had my allotted 4 Friday night, 9 Saturday and 7 Sunday.

I can tell the honeymoon is over, and the increase from 25mg to 50 had no effect on prolonging it. I feel that my cravings have increased a bit, and I am finding more challenging to limit my drinking. I've been trying to stay busier to help keep my mind off of AL a bit, but it is TOUGH. I can't wait for that nagging in the back of my mind to be dispensed courtesy of Nal!!! Good news is I have been able to drink slower than pre-TSM virtually eliminating the bad side effects (forgetting conversations, arguing, slurring, stumbling, etc.)

Have a great week everyone!

Success. At least a small one to note. The beers have been going down pretty smooth the past week or so and last night was no exception to that. Side effects are nearly non-existent, I have only been experiencing a little tiredness even though I have been sleeping much better and still fairly frequent dreams, though not as vivid as others seem to experience. SE's are no worse even on the days I have taken nal on an empty stomach.

The success last night came as I was finishing my 4th beer. I had more available and thought about having another. Pre-TSM I would have had another in hand and open by the time I finished that thought. Last night I took a moment, had the last bit, and CHOSE to pass on another! It will be nice when that thought comes after the 1st or 2nd instead of the 4th, but I will take it at this point.

Journey on all!!

Hi Squirrel - Yep, looks like the honeymoon is over, but that's good. It means you are starting on the bumpy ride of extinction. You will continue to notice subtle changes like the ability to pass on that last drink of the night. Don't over think it......just keeping Nal-ing on.

Hey fellow TSM'ers!!

End of week 3 and the total is up slightly. I didn't have an AF day on Monday like I have the past couple weeks. This was partially due to a change in routine and having a brutal day at work and ended up having 5.

Also, I noted my number for last night as 3.95 since I poured out the last gulp. I could easily just say it was 4, but, in the past I would not have left that last bit and I feel that is worth noting as another tiny success in the process.

This weekend should be interesting. Tomorrow is my last day at my current job, I am starting a new career Tuesday. On top of that we will be working around the houe all weekend with a BBQ with neighbors either Sunday or Monday which a holiday here in the states. So, plenty of triggers to deal with and in the past I would be a bit afraid of what a 3-day weekend like this would bring. Now, I am actually a little excited since I have Nal on my side!

Good for you Squirrel - I'm nearly mirroring you in success so far I think. And I can equate with the feeling of being "excited" to have the nal on your side - I think it's actually going to make me _more_ social because I won't be so worried about having the drinking turn into job one and try to avoid the situation in the first place.

Great work Squirrel! Saviour and reflect on the small victories, they are a very important part of the journey. Congratulations on your early success.
