Hi All

Pretty excited about this new journey and TSM.
I will try to post here when I can, but I am going to try to be dedicated to posting my progress at MWO. I thinks it's important to spread the word about TSM and right now the MWO meds forum is inundated with Baclofiend threads and not much else. I'm fairly certain some MWO members will be following my progress with interest.

Thanks to each and every one of you who has posted here on this forum. I can't say thank you enough.

Keep up the effort Katie.

Can you post a link to your thread on MWO please?

Cheers,

Andy.

Weeks 1 & 2

Minimal side effects, some dizziness at the beginning and that's about it. I do have a lot of pain in my joints and achey all over. I have arthritis, so I'm not sure if the med is making it worse or not.

Otherwise, I feel good. I can tell the Nal is doing something as I get a feeling of having "enough" and quite often do not finish my last drink poured. That in itself proves that it's working, as I would never leave anything in my glass before.

So far I haven't experienced a true "honeymoon" or any Nal hangovers, but I'm not giving up. I promised myself to try TSM for a year and that's what I shall do.

Fighting the good fight
KS

Hi Katie, Welcome aboard! You mentioned aches and pains and your arthritis, Naltrexone is reported to cause that side effect in <1% on people taking it. Given your arthritis you may have an increased propensity toward this. That said, most side effects of Nal (like most drugs) will peak in the first 2-4 weeks then go away. Hope this helps and good luck for your journey.

Hi Katie

Welcome! Buckle in for the bumpy ride. You'll get lots of support & humour on this site. I originally stumbled across TSM on the My Way Out forum. Thought it sounded too good to be true at first. Despite the ups & downs, I'm still remaining optimistic it will work for me and for 75-80% of us who try it.
Good luck.

Sticky

I also stumbled across the MWO forum, and that's what led me to TSM and this board!
Good luck and keep us posted.
EL

Thanks warrenjames, sticky, EL and movergal.

I look forward to this long and bumpy ride and hope I will be one of the TSM successes at the end :)
