Hi Dancer,
I can share my personal experience - but this in no way a substitute for professional mdical advice
I experienced ringing in my ears when I first started taking Nal - but it went away after 1 week. It's one of the initial side affects for some people.
1% of people taking naltrexone experience more severe range of ear discomfort: “clogged” or aching ears and severe tinnitus.
For the more experienced people on this board to help we need to know the answers to the following questions:
How long have you been taking Nal?
How bad is the ringing on a scale of 1 - 10? (10 being so bad you can't sleep)
When you say it's getting worse, can you describe what you mean?
If you've been taking Nal for less than 2 weeks, my (unqualified) view is that the ringing / aching should soon pass - but of course this is no substitute for professional advice.
Other medication - especially Anti-depressants (SSRIs) can cause rining in the ears too - are you taking any other medication?
Lipitor, Pepto-Bismol, Accutane (anti-acne) can also cause tinnitus.
