Bloomberg article about Nalmefene - December 2010.

The article is about nalmefene, which might soon get approval in Europe for treating alcoholism... I believe nalmefene works much like naltrexone. According to Wikipedia, "Nalmefene is twice as potent as naltrexone when used for the treatment of addictions."

Frustratingly, Naltrexone wasn't covered in a positive light. The (lazy) Bloomberg journalist only interviewed one doctor about Naltrexone. This Doctor advocates total abstinence and runs a rehab centre - you can guess his response (or read the article).

It's amazing that doctors over the world don't actually know about the Sinclair Method and how Nal is supposed to be used.

I read a quote in the New York Times yesterday that was being applied to anti-climate change scientists, but it applies equally to addiction doctors/specialists and naltrexone:

"It's amazing how long it takes people to learn something when they are getting paid not to learn it."
