Mario,
Glad you got the order straightened out. I ordered from THeRiver the first time and it took 2 1/2 weeks. Customs is the variable. I just ordered from ADC and it seems they move very fast on their end dispensing and shipping. Good luck. If it does not get there in time, I assume you have arranged for mail forwarding. If you need a domestic address for them to forward, then I am happy to receive the package and then forward along to you.

HAVE an awesome time in Florida! Very cold here...wish we were in warmer climes. I am planning our trip in March to the keys. Report back in when you get home and let us know how it went!

Hi All, Im back on home soil. Holls went well alcohol wise though I started to get side effects from nal- nausia mostly so I started taking 25mgs a day and that pretty much sorted it. I guess my system is only used to taking it at the weekend and then of course I was eating differently to home so it all contributed to upseting my system.

Thrilled that my nal arrived about 3 days into my stay, which meant that it only took about two weeks in total from order to supply. Allday had sent them by express post when I asked them to speed things up if they could. They really are very good.

Alcohol was mostly under good control during the two weeks even though I did get drunk on night- one of the nights that I couldnt eat and I was still stupid enough to have 5 glasses of wine. I didnt have even one hangover and though I drank lots more than I would at home there were no side issues around drinking which was brill. The last time I was in Universal studios I remember letting everybody off on a roller coaster and then sneaking off to quickly drink a few vodkas. I was standing in the same place this year and it made me sad to think of it, I remembered it was a lonely degrading feeling watching families having fun and I sneaking drink. Well its over so there is no point in rehashing it.

Will get around to check on everyone in a few days- after all the bloody laundry is done. Next time Im bringing plastic clothes for everyone.

Welcome back Mario, your trip sounds like it was a moderation success. Most of my friends overdo it a little on holidays. I think that is pretty normal behavior for drinking non-alcoholics. Sneaking off to get a drink while the rest of your family is on a rollercoaster is not normal drinking behavior. I had a similar deja vu experience at my son's birthday party on Sunday, but like yours this one ended without a drink. We should feel glad we're not behaving like that anymore. You sound good and you really seem to have things under control. Glad to have you back, lots of interesting posts and some newcomers on the board.

Mario, welcome back! You're drinking behavior on your holiday definitely seems "normal" to me. Great job.

Mario...I am with you on the disposable vacation clothes. I feel on constant laundry catch up since mid Dec when the Christmas vacation and constant weekends away started. From suitcase to laundry room to basket. Last week I literally unpacked the suitcase into the washer, dryer and back to the suitcase with very few items changing! Today we have a snow day and I am almost on track.
Glad the holiday went well. One night with too much is quite a NORMAL person's vacation experience. It is important to remember our past but do not dwell. Those days are over for you because you have decided they are in the past. Wonderful to be present for our kids!!!

I was a bit worried when I came back from holls that I would want to drink everynight like I did while I was away. It took a few days to get back to normal but then again it took a few days for hubby and sister to get back to normal as well. Im happy overall and drank quite normally. This week Im going back to my normal routine of just drinking friday and saturday night. I find that I prefer the sleep I get when Im not drinking at all especially during the week for work and normal routine.

Didnt make it untill Friday night without wanting a drink. Relatives were coming in to visit with my sister last night and she bought a couple bottles of wine and as its only a couple of hundred yards down the road so I went too. I had taken my nal about two hours previously and as soon as I had my first sip of wine I knew that I had no desire for it whatsoever. She offered me other alcoholic drinks but nothing appealed and I had appletart and cream and went home after about two hours. Really happy with progress since I came back from holls as I was a bit worried that I would not settle into my normal drinking habits easily but glad to say it ws fine.

That's great Mario! I can't wait until one drink is enough. That will be wonderful. I am happy that one bottle seems enough though. That is much better than the old drinking me. One bottle got a really bad ball rolling for me. Now I go to bed.

Nal continues to play a blinder for me. Im on it almost a full year now. Of course having a much greater control over units makes a huge difference but its in my thinking that I notice the biggest difference. I can go out or visiting without scanning the table or fridge to make sure that I will have enough drink and of course enough was always oblivion for me. I was quit for a few years before tsm but alcohol still had a big place in my thoughts even while not drinking. TSM has been truly miraclous for me in that I have the best of both worlds I can have my drinks but still wake up without wanting one in the morning or indeed wanting on the day afterwards at all. Last night I went to a neighbours house and they were having a glass of wine, she insisted I have one but I hadnt taken a nal. I had three or four sips absent mindly and left the rest there. There was plenty of alcohol at home but I didnt dream of having any later. Now its got to the stage that if hubby is having a drink I dont even think of having one unless Ive allready planned it. Its a freedom that I havent known in over 10 years of my drinking career and probaly long before that.

Im involved in another site where there is some opposition to tsm. Every little thing in the book is pulled out from the effects of nal on the liver to the torment of HAVING to take a pill every time you want a drink. I take 50mgs of nal twice a week and drink pretty much like any normal drinker out there so I just dont understand the opposition. Then again I know people who tsm didnt work for and people who had se's that never went away. So no its not a cure for everybody but it sure as hell has been for me. My only worry is always being able to get nal and sometimes that can actually keep me awak at tonight and everynow and again I have to count my stash to relax myself.
