Well Guess what? Had 4 & a half drinks last nite. Feel really awful now. I know it is Nal doing it's work. Otherwise I might have caved in. Not doing that but, I must think 2ce about having that 3rd drink. Not worth the morning after for me. Should try & limit my nites at the locals. People are always buying you drinks, & of course if it is sitting in front of me, it begins to talk the talk. I hate it. Will be better day tomorrow.

Hi Ya'll, it is 10PM. All the guests have left. including the Nephew w/2 toddlers. Actually all was not too bad. Rich did all the cooking, I cleaned. Rather clean than cook. As I sit here, I am enjoying drink "4. Someone brought a cabrnet by barefoot. And one was a Pinioir"..Night ended rather early as children are toddlers, & Brother-in-law leaves EARLY in the AM! YAA. I DO love him but.... after 3 days fish & house geusts begin to smell. I don't mean that really. I DO love him & he is a real hot ****! Joe, ya there? You'd get along great.
Okay, maybe off-topic on my own thread but, conversaton & laughter is good, ha!?? It's okay if I get a "litle off" on the thread? I say, enjoy it! I LOVE to laugh & if I can do that for someone else, it makes my day! As far as my AL. I am proud of myself! I was sure that I wasn't going to drink tonight, but as 6PM was drawing near, & no one was here yet I took a Nal at 5PM. Good. No one arived til 6:15PM.

Anyway, long story short, again. I had 4 wines. At first one I aked Kenny, "why does this wine taste sour?". To which he replied, "tastes okay to me". Okay, (i said to myself) & said nothing more. See? I CAN shut up when I need to! Hey, I am not computer savy but, as simple as it was I just figured out how to use the smileys!! I asked Rich 1day last wk.. I had a whole reply written for someone. As he tried to get me a smiley face, he failed soo miserably as to erase what I had written. Okay, Jane is going to bed now.
I figure, I can not calculate what a binger drinks. In MY situation, I know it is where when & with whom I drink. More so since TSM as before.
I am working on the triggers which are huge obsticles as yet.

Wow Jane, so 4 drinks between 6:00 and 10:00 at a party seems pretty normal to me!! Funny about the wine tasting sour. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and you're getting a break from your guests next week. You crack me up!! BTDT

You're right about the differences in taste on Nal. My DH makes terrible plonky wine and I've never been able to get to like it - not before 4 or 5 when it starts to taste better. I know I'll have trouble gagging even one sip down when I get my Nal next week and attempt to have a glass. Think I'll get me a decent bottle!

Nice work Jane. Yeah, seems like people who notice a difference in taste in AL respond well to TSM. I haven't noticed it. But I have noticed I refuse to drink crappy cheap alcohol now. it's not worth the lame watery taste. I can only drink the delicious stuff now.

Great news Jane! Unlike Joe I'm switching to the crappy stuff because to me it tastes the same as the expensive stuff (crappy). There goes my aspirations as a sommelier

OKAY! Not so proud of myself today tho. Went to 99 for dinner. JUST COULDN"T SAY NOO TO DRINK #3!! JUST HAD TO GO GET ANOTHER BOTTLE!! On the bright side however, it was a small bottle. Usually, I would get the 1.75liter. I wasn't going to let it grab me, but I did. My drink numbers are definately down. I get sicker now with the NAL. Went to my GP, a few days ago. I have been on Benzos for a long time now. So, I told him I would quit cold turkey. When script is gone that's IT!! I do need to do this. He was really sweet about it & prescribed something that will help with the discomfort of withdrawal. Hey had to do it with oxycontin once. That was ABSOLUTE HELL. But, I bit the bullet & pulled thru. Will NEVER touch that poison again.
One more thing, ya I know off-topic on my own thread. But, here's looking at you Joe. I am taking my fox terrier to a Dog Whisperer. You know, like Ceasar Milan? Poor little baby has not eaten in 2 days, lost most of her pretty fur, & is exteremly timid & fearful. The timid part was there when I took her home at only 5wks. Vet sent me to very well-known Animal Hospital they could find nothing. My heart cries for her.
Yes, we drunks are VERY sensitive emotional people. I would'nt change that either. Will post more on my AL consumption. Altho today there will be none. Tomorrow tho...may be different story.

Last night was better. We stopped at an old lounge on the beach that was redone over. Nice place now. Jane had only 1 soda water w/lemon. Dinner was 2 Merlots. One thing I've noticed in the last 4 mo. is I walk easily past the AL aisle in the Supermarket. Wasn't able to do that before. Doesn't even entice me now. On rollercoaster days tho, even when the AL tastes like puke, I sometimes choke it down. Then it's all over after 2 or 3 more. Keeping my eye on the prize. Right now, I need to get off the benzo"s. Gonna be a tough week. one thing at a time. I can do it. So proud I've figured out how to add smileys

good luck betting off the benzo's. i believe there are several threads on this forum about reducing and then stopping benzo's. it is interesting that you are having tsm success even while on benzo's. it seems that many thought that benzo's would interfere with tsm. good for you for succeeding anyway! be really careful and kind to yourself, as you go through the process.
