Still pretty new, 6 wks in, wondering if anyone experienced intensified menopause symptoms with naltrexone? My hot flashes seem to have gone back to the intensity they were 4 yrs ago out of the blue. It dawned on me duh.... that the only thing different is the naltrexone.... Interesting. Anybody out there with any similar experience? Small price to pay if this naltrexone works for me, but may go back to hormone therapy to help with the symptoms if this side effect, if that's what it is is here to stay. On the progress note I think my drinking is a little less but its still real soon to draw any conclusions.... Just trying to hang in there and to borrow an AA saying I just want to ......." Wait for the miracle to happen!"

i am definitely having those exact symptoms, and yes i am the right age and gender to be having those anyway, but was not having these problems before nal . i searched the forum sometime ago and found very old posts from men reporting the same side effects, so i don't know if it really is related to hormones. it could just be a side effect that not too many experience. i agree if this works, it's totally worth it. best of luck, if you find a way to lessen the sweats, please post it.
