Update and sorry that its not good.....I'm very embarrassed to post this and make a request.

MY shrink fired me and I've been without NAL for 8 days or so.

Why? I missed a 8 AM appointment. But, I SPECIFICALLY asked her for a late appointment to avoid traffic as the beautiful metroplis of Lynn is hard to get to and during AM traffic is BRUTAL. about 1.5 hours. Otherwise, 25 minutes. I realize that I should be more dedicated. Regardless, I missed and here's where I am at.

I'm afraid even if I ask/beg for her to take me back,...she'll be like ....well one year and still drinking....sorry PAL.....no NAL...lets get you on some anti depressants etc etc etc

So I am asking if maybe the board could help me out. So you know, I did send a week's worth to a member who for whatever reason, bailed and we never heard from her again. SO I am not selfish or greedy when I have it.

I'm finding my drinking is starting to creep back up and I feel that different kind of hankering kicking in again. And on a lighter thread that Bob rebirthed,...am finding the coffee is beginning to jump again as well.

I'm going to try adn get an emergency visit with my GP which I DIDN't want to do,...but he's a very nice man and plays keyboards as well. SO I bet he'll hook me up at least after my bloodwork comes back.

IF anyone would be so kind I would appreciate a few until I can get this figured out. I understand if not and please if you're new, don't as you really need it.

Please email me I'll appreciate it, if not,...I totally understand. My Best, JIm

Last night 11 units. Yeah its starting to go there again.... If thats not proof that NAL works I don;t know what is.....a week ago, consistent 6 units now almost double

Thanks and I feel a bit pathetic. I guess I should do as many of you do....order from alldaychemist. I thought about that as I was out today. How pompous of me..... Anyways,...thanks for the emails,...I will write back and that will get me through till I get my Indian or GP scrip which I hope will be sooner as opposed to l8r adn I will return any unused ones....My Best, Jim

Jim, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I've been taking a step back from the board. I was thinking about this and feel I can't spare any as I have just upped my dosage a week ago and feel I am in a critical part of my treatment. I haven't been taking any AF days so I don't have any extra. If I start racking up AF days in the future and have some extra in the bottle, I'll be glad to share then, but I can't see messing with my treatment in such a crucial stage where I hope to turn the corner soon. I hope you get what you need my friend

Joe,

No worries. I'm all set. Let this thread die on the vine.......

Glad to be reading your updates. Once I get figured out here, I may up to 75 mg. Seems like you're getting good results as others have. But for the time being I will remain on 50 mg when the NAL arrives.

Things are going OK since I've been off NAL. Can't wait to get back on though....I don't feel that I've been slipping too badly although last night was probably 8ish. I'm really trying to keep units down. Since I had a drunk last week, I'm back pretending to goto AA for teh Mrs. sake, so I'm looking forward to getting back on "OUR" program. Although its nice going to the library researching and reading whilst at AA  No contempt for AA as you all know but the Mrs. sure can be controlling at times. My best, Jim
