Thanks for the replies, especially to Bob for correcting my misunderstanding of his early results and going into detail about his data.

I kind of enjoyed going back through the data again.

Of course, you are entitled to your say too, Joe. We are not 12-steppers.

Bob

I don't know Bob, I still appreciate your willingness to continue posting..But,I don't think Joe12 should just be dismissed with a "settle down".He brings up a lot of good points..Alot of us have been really damaged by AA.. and to have someone come in here and start comparing us to them kind of hurts..I suggest u read the Orange papers and get a grip on the type of damage Aa does to people..If that is too onesided for u,how about check out exsteppers.com...My point is this..AA and 12 step mantra control the recovery field..That is why tsm is so unknown..That is why so many of us have problems getting scripts for a harmless med.called naltrexone..And that is why some of us struggle with family and friends, trying to convince them that tsm is for real..Do u know that I have offered to lend Eskapas book to over 20 people??not 1 was even willing to give it a second glance..I am glad u are cured..But the rest of us still struggle.Joe12 has been stuggling for over 6 months and I for one feel he has the right to spout off at yet another skeptic..We were all obviously smart enough to see through the 12 step nonsense and find our way here..So why should anyone be made to feel foolish by some half ass scientist who took a few courses in chemistry..I say,Please Joe12,Do not settle down...Goodman

Im sorry,I guess exsteppers doesn't exist anymore..I will add one other thing and leave it at that..I saw Joe12's posts, while lurking at both Soberrecovery and cyberrecovey..He is the reason I investigated Tsm in the first place..I for one am glad u didn't tell him to settle down last year..I think that it is nice that cured folk get on with thier lives and forget all about their addictions...But to forget about the still suffering??WTF!!Not me..I swear to God,IF i ever find a way out..I will never settle down..I have seen too many people die unneccessarily from this ****..And go figure, there is a pill that can cure this thing.OMG,that is a f***ing crime..Enough from me..Have a good day Bob..Goodman

Bob. Feel free to delete it. It's your thread. I was insulted by being compared to AA, and by the know it all attitude with wrong information. this TSM thing flies in the face of AA and so do all of us here. I don't know where this guy sees any similarity. If this were AA, I'd be talking about my character defects and flogging myself on the back with a leather belt right now. trying to please everybody. Nope, I stand by my post. but offer to take it elsewhere out of respect for your progress thread. maybe I'll start a boxing ring thread. might be fun.

Made my day! Thanks for saying so. I hope it works out for you and you can bet your ass when I get cured I'm going straight back to cyberrecovery, I'd have to get on a new ip address to go to soberrecovery because I was banned, but I'd do that too. I can't promise I'd be around forever though. I've seen so many cured people fade away, and it's not because they don't care, but I will say I'd come back every once in a while for a long time like bob and others have.
I really hope this works for you GMO!!!

In the boxing ring , in the boxing ring .....
If need be . This started with Bob's graph and its his progress thread .
Respect .
The questions raised are relevant but the tangent is veering off . In the name of healthy deabte I'd be happy to pull into the boxing ring to meet James and seek clarification . :)

Thanks for the kind offer, elfern, but I'll pass for now. :)

You are right: this is veering completely off course (mea culpa). I will stick to my thread for a while and just jot down my own progress and thoughts there. I probably need a few weeks anyways before I have anything particularly useful to add.

I have so much to say and I don't know where to start.

First of all, this is my thread and I officially authorize everyone and anyone to post anything on it whether it's on-topic, on a tangent, or off-topic. Joe: I'm not deleting anything. What you have to say, you have every right to say. As I keep saying This ain't AA. My thread; My Rule; No censoring!

I have been here on this website for a very long time and have seen the same or similar discussions/arguments made before by folks that have come and gone, but I certainly don't expect people to read year-old or older posts to see how they were rectified or resolved.

I've seen many many people say (and I quote) "I'll shout it from the rooftops when I get cured". Well, that enthusiasm is crushed quite quickly when they face the cold harsh apathy of the general populace. These same cured people eventually give up and start living their new liberated lives. Goodman, when you are cured, I will be tracking how you personally fix all of society's alcohol woes and devote your life to publicizing TSM. I think you've already got a taste of reality when you said "Do u know that I have offered to lend Eskapas book to over 20 people??not 1 was even willing to give it a second glance." Well, wait to you're cured. Everyone who knows of your alcoholism will be be initially impressed and then will feign interest in the TSM cure and refer absolutely no one to you that really needs help. That's because in their mind, that's AA's job, conveniently dismissing every thing you just told them. People believe what they want to believe and you can try, but you will not change that fact. However, feel free to make the attempt anyway; one day someone will be successful.

I have stated this many times over the last 18 months and in dozens upon dozens of posts that I was in AA and had to put up with their bullshit, their pseudo-Christian structure, forced pseudo-Christian prayers and being shut down and shut up so many times I can't count that high. Also, my "relapses" there were more intense than any other time as an alcoholic. (I have been asked by members on this very website to tone down my anti-AA rhetoric so as not to alienate newcomers who are just transitioning from 12-stepping). Then, I quit AA and tried other 12 step programs. They failed too (no big surprise). When I was finally cured by TSM (my 22nd attempt to "quit"), I went back to the same AA group to tell them how I was cured and was physically escorted out of their meeting, Naltrexone bottle in-hand. Do you know how many of the ones there at that meeting that were not hard-core AA-ers asked about TSM after that? None. Again: People believe what they want to believe.

Regarding the Orange papers, I was the second member on this website to post about the Orange Papers back in April 2009. I brought it to this group's attention. (The first member to bring it up has the distinct honor of being the only member to ever be banned from this site for being a disturbance to the group and he... well... he had other problems). Now, if Agent Orange would keep his political ideology out of his alcohol commentary, he would have a much larger audience. There is absolutely no point in him alienating half his audience when he's talking about the topic of alcoholism which has no political or ideological affiliation. I could never get my point across to him. And anybody that has read any of my posts will note, I will not talk about politics ever. It has no place here.

Regarding my comment to Joe, I should not have used the words "Take it easy" in my post, since upon rereading it, it sounds like I'm trying to shut up Joe, which I did not intend. Joe has every right to say what he wants to say. My intent was that since I saw that James had gotten the point, I didn't think that it was necessary to belabor it, once he understood. In retrospect, I sounded like I was telling Joe to tone it down, which is not my responsibility.

As long as people are not reading old posts here, which I would not expect anybody to do (including myself), may I say that there were many attempts at Soberrecovery to promote our cure. All of us who tried were banned and all our threads deleted by the moderators there. Some of us have gone back under other names and used proxies to bypass their banned IP mechanism, and then tone the message down a bit, but most of us that have done that have been banned again. I still have an account there where I drop some tidbits of Naltrexone treatment when I think I can get away with it (but don't tell anyone).

James: Keep posting..
Goodman: Keep posting.
Joe: Keep posting.
Elfern: Well, you have always been here, my friend.

Opinions, controversy, and observations are welcome. We are not AA. We are not a cult.

Addendum:
Do you know why I still post here, after over 13 months of being cured? Because no other cured person is posting here on a regular basis. Frankly, I want someone to replace me. My wife wants me back. I owe that to her. Alcoholism took our relationship away for many many years. I told her 3 more months here. I intend to keep that as a promise. So which one of you cured ones or soon-to-be cured ones will take up that challenge?

Bob
