First week over.First let me just say that I'm a binge drinker usually 3 times a week,twice at the week end and once mid week.
I drink vodka,wine and occasionally beer.Approx.45 US units per week.

Thursday- I took my first nal,50 mgs.Drank the usual amount no side effects.
Saturday-I took my 2ND nal,50 mgs.Drank the same amount,no side effects.
Sunday,took my 3rd nal,50 mgs,had to force a few glasses of wine,pure habit coz i didn't want any but was doing a BBQ and had visitors,then felt sick,had to lie down,had very sever stomach cramps for 3 hours.
It's now Thursday again and I have had no desire to drink since Sunday,normally by Wednesday I'm rearing to go again.
Anyway today is the start of week 2 and I will be in a drinking environment later on so it will be interesting to see what happens.

I'm planning on taking 25 mgs for the next 2 times,is that a good idea or will it set me back.I would really like to get over these SE's as I'm going on holidays in about 2 weeks.

The side effects last different amounts of time for different people. take 25 mg as long as you like. You should be fine in 2 weeks. the vast majority are over the SE's by then. mine went away totally in like a week. on the bright side, the fact that you have side effects is a good sign that you will be a responder! I am more than disappointed because I thought that the last 4 days might be the honeymoon,nahhh today I drank like a loony and I knew I would.

On the way home from the pub/bar I usually/always gave himself instructions to pull in at the Off licence.
Not tonight I didn't.

Fingers crossed for you too. I know what you mean about feeling drunk and sober at the same time. I feel the effect while feeling level headed. I think this might be what regular folks feel but not sure because I've never been one of those. I decided to go straight to 50 mg just but I tend to be a bit of an overachiever I felt pretty crappy for a few days in the beginning but I have felt no side effects since the middle of the second week. Might've been easier if I did 25 mg for the first couple of days. Keep posting. I'd like to hear how you are doing. Take care, BTDT
