This forum is just like all of the other thousands of forums on the internet to discuss a topic of interest. The topic here happens to be The Sinclair Method. People talk about The Sinclair Method here, which is not a matter of national security nor are you posting "all over the place." Don't make it more than it is.

If are interested in using The Sinclair Method, I would recommend Dr. Eskapa's book. However, this isn't necessary. You'll find all that you need to know here by reading and asking questions.

Bottom line: Yes, you just take a pill, then drink. That's quite literally all you need to know.

Q,I am new to the internet..I dont even own a computer..I am doing all this from my cell phone..Maybe that explains my confusion??I have been in the dark litterally,as the only info I have had has beenAA..I am so pissed that there has been a cure along..I would have started this years ago if I had known about it..Anyways,this time I have been drinking and am going to bed..Thanks all for the patience and clarification.

Welcome, goodman. You may find this article on Wikipedia (an online encyclopedia maintained and updated by it's users) useful. Hopefully your cellphone will allow the link. I can imagine how hard it must be to read posts on a tiny cellphone screen. If you can get some computer time it may make it easier to read past Sinclair Method Users Posts. Some of my favorite success stories are Crown86, Firebird, BenTSM, Bob3D, Springrider, Minneapolisnick, Bobandcarol, ~Q~ and others that don't come to mind right now. Some of these people had drinking levels that were scary. You should also read some of the people that have not been Sinclair method success stories like Loop, Houtx, Wort and some others. The history of this board goes back to February of 2009 when N101CS and some others were posting over on the MyWayOut.org forum. N101CS set up this board because the Naltrexone and Sinclair Method discussion needed a separate forum. N101CS setup this forum with his own funds and time. There are no advertisers here and no dues. This is a self help forum. If you read the results of the COMBINE study (the largest study of substance abuse to date) it demonstrated the naltrexone need not be combined with professional counseling. I would assume that people that were successful in using naltrexone in that study had some type of support from family or friends. The real value of this board is when doubts come up in your mind as to whether this is working or not you can read about similar problems others have encountered. Drs. Sinclair and Eskapa are not in charge of this board. They have posted in the past and have offered clarifications but most of that was early on. This board exists for the sole purpose of sharing the journey to moderation or sobriety using the Sinclair Method. The forum is open to anyone who wishes to read it. So you should avoid revealing any information that might identify you if you have privacy concerns. Once again welcome aboard. Post as little or as much as you like. Share your success and failures equally. The only thing you have to do is remember to take Naltrexone 1 hour before you drink. Anything else is optional but it may help you or someone else (Pay it forward)
