Hi ART --'m glad you asked Dr. Eskapa about this, and that you followed his advice. Keep posting on your experience!

Good going, ART. Not drinking that other half bottle of wine had to feel really great! You must have a very different drinking pattern, as I can drink 2 bottles of wine a day, even if I don't start until 4 or 5 p.m. You seem to drink 24/7, but only about half as much. Do you sip? Or mix other liquors with the wine?

Just curious.

My pattern for years has been to drink at least 2 bottles of wine in a 24 hour period. At the height of my drinking career, I drank more than that and added spirits too in various amounts, lots of drinking and mostly passing out at night, waking in the middle and continuing to drink the hair of the dog, and sleeping and starting again immediately and most of the time able to get thru the day. Repeat daily. That was my formula, looking back I can not believe how much I did drink.

Well that was then and this is now. So I am finishing the bottle now, 12 pm tuesday. I am going to stay the course.
Thanks for the encouragement. Really THANK YOU!

Oh, I am mostly sipping and having small glasses at spaced intervals, hard AL if I can find any,(like if others are around and there is AL present) but I am not buying it, only wine.

. A pinot drinker, yes, a beautiful (as they say) woman, yes. I happen to be drinking right now so I am feeling the honesty that comes along with that. Not inebriated, but I do have a "buzz." I am so very much there with all of you. Right now as I have had a little more to drink than I have had in a long time, I am feeling that glow and truthfully, it does not feel bad. I did take my extra Nal today, I did have an EXTREMELY difficult day, and I am amazed I got through it with as much grace as I did. More to share, for now, as always, thank you all for being here!
Today I drank 2 bottles of wine, and I felt it! This was interspersed through out the day and evening, a very long day. Now on Friday I have a hangover, and I have not had this for many months, good to remember how crappy it makes me feel.

Now it's Sunday, and after a difficult mental Thursday I managed to drink 2 bottles of cabernet, 1 bottle of Champaign, 2 bottles of chardonnay, and now on Sunday I just cracked another chardonnay. So I think on Thursday and Friday I averaged 2 bottles of wine in each 24 hour period, and 1 bottle Saturday and now 1 bottle for Sunday.

That's my math. Deducing from that, I am for the most part on the average, one bottle of wine down per day, which is 1/2 of my prior life daily wine habit (not to mention the "other" drinks I would manage daily) I am seeing the 2 bottle Thurs and Friday as an extremely emotional blip. YAY! I was little worried there and now that I reflect, I think we have got it going here, in a positive way.

It's my thread and this is the way I chart. I just may get some help to linearize my progress, I am marking a calendar so I have some history.

Chart any way that helps YOU. No need to be linear unless you want to. :geek: The point is to monitor you own progress, not to compare to others, so why not be creative.

You're off and running!!!!

Now later in the day, gosh I sure sounded "chipper" earlier, that was before I emotionally crashed!

But now a few hours later. Guess What? I am not drunk, I had been drinking but STOPPED!

This is what I am finding the most amazing thing about TSM I have the ability to stop.

Exactly. Just like a robot what I have done is take Nal one hour before drinking. I don't change anything about that and I keep it simple. I have tried to stay as perfect to that as possible to see results and I have. Nothing is perfect least of all myself but do your best and something always comes from that. It did for me and I am still working on it.
