Dear Doctor Escapa........I am new to the program and had quite a number of side effects when i tried 50mg of Nal. Now I am using 25mg, and while still in the honeymoon stage, have reduced my units by half and tolerating the dosage fairly well. Has anyone ever used 25mg all the way to extinction? I am a small woman, and worry about taking the same amount of medication as, say a 200lb man. Thank you so much for your book - I can't believe how little is known about this program in the US. Also, do you have any recent success rates? Is the doctor you suggested in NYC treating enough patients to be a good source of information at this point? Thanking you in advance for your time. Cindi

Not sure if Eskapa reads the forums, but just to share my personal experience:

Yes. I achieved extinction mostly taking .25mg. My one caveat is that I took .50mg during most of my first couple weeks, and I also took/take .50mg whenever going some place "high risk"-- bars, parties, weddings, etc.

I'm a man and only weigh 140, FYI.
