I've been drinking for 14 years and a daily drinker for 10 years. I usually have around 95 beers a week, and a glass of wine on Sunday. I quit smoking exactly 6 months ago, and quit caffeine a month ago. Two down and one to go. I have an appointment tomorrow to give TSM a shot.

I've never really had any problems with drinking other than medical issues. I have had the same job, same wife, and same friends for the past 10 years. However, my HBP and cholesterol have gotten worse, I found 20 pounds that someone lost, my ALT levels are slightly elevated, and recently have developed the "tremor." I think that somehow caffeine and nicotine kept the shakes in check, but it is very noticable now and bugs the piss out of me.

I've called Anthem and the drug is covered under my insurance, so $15 a month isn't too bad an investment in my future.

My goal is to get under 10 units, loose 20 lbs, and get off the HBP and cholesterol meds. Let's hope this works.

40% less in an accomplishment in my book. For me, that would be the calorie equivalent of running for 5 hours a week.

And if you among the 78% of folks that TSM works for, you may be looking forward to a 95% or more reduction in year or so.

Life at 50% would be great. 95% is unimaginable to me. I'm guessing this is what a 12 year old girl feels like knowing that she is going to see her favorite boy-band in concert for the first time tomorrow. I had the same feeling when I went to go get a prescription for Chantix also. I even bought an extra 6-pack to calm my nerves!

Doc was scared to prescribe something he had never heard of. I understand his reluctance and his problems with liability, but at least he said he would call some addiction specialists and talk to some of his colleagues. I ordered 30 from Alldaychemist, I'm not going to let my MD hold me back from getting better.

The wife and I did 9 miles on the bike trail. I'm pretty sure I could have done 20 without this monkey on my back.

Alldaychemist sent a USPS tracking number today. I am really looking forward to the delivery in ~5 days.

Mother's Day weekend is coming up. I am not a sloppy drunk, but I will be expected to drink a lot this weekend. I am surrounded by enablers, multi-generational heavy drinkers. If I could drink 1 or 2 with them things would be fine......but....at my normal pace, I will go into Mr. Shithead (My-Story-Is-Better-Than-Yours) mode and piss some people off.
