It's just the language of math (i.e. "geek-speak").

I started Nal yesterday and an hour and a half after I took the pill I had 48 ounces of IPA (7% beer) and then 2/3 bottle of wine. I hadn't thought about keeping track but it'd be good to track my progress. When I got out of bed this morning I sure was dizzy for a while.

How much or what is a unit?

Rule of thumb one 12 oz. beer = 1 unit. Wine? I never drank wine, unless there was nothing else to drink (in my alcoholic days). Somebody else can answer that question. I know that one "shot" of 80 proof liquor is about a unit.

So you're down to about 1 beer a week? Pretty Cool!
