NC1,

It is important that you not get discouraged, so slow is good. There have been recent posts on MWO where folks get SE's and give up. I am only at 100-120mg/day, so I can only speculate, but I hope that SE's can be minimized by slow titration.

"Only @ 100 - 120 mgs"... "Only"...it's these huge amounts of pills, no matter how small, that alarms me. Hoping if I get to this point and taking large amounts of these, granted, tiny pills and I hit the switch, then will get on board w/ my DR.

Still dealing with SE's. I held at 100-120mg/day all week (20, 20, 20, 40, maybe 20 in the middle of the night). During the day yesterday I was completely zoned - nodding off ever few minutes. Last night was an over-the-top carouse with buds, followed by a very restless night of intermittent sleep. Oddly, today I feel great - alert, tranquil - just like the initial days of starting baclofen. I hope I've turned a corner.

Starting today: 20, 20, 40, 40, +maybe 20.

wort have you been reading the threads on MWO by N101CS? and the other posts under Dr. Fred Levin? My husband and I are starting our 3rd week on BAC and no SE!

Hi Corkit,

Yes, I actually just focused on that today - thanks! I encountered SE's by titrating up too quickly. When they hit, they took a couple of weeks to subside. This has been a really good day, so I think I am finally over it. I wish your thread had been available a few weeks ago.

wort, I wish I had too, but with all of this there's no rime or reason on how things work out I'm only glad that you're back on track and that you're ok. I had to stop NAL not that I wanted to seeing that I thought the two BAC and NAL would be our answer but an unforeseen thing happened with me that the doctors are now saying I have cancer so Nal is off the equation right now with surgery eminent. Not sure what is down the road for me but Nal won't be part of it only continuing BAC is an option. Only God knows the outcome on what is in store for me but if there's one thing I'll work for is that no one will have to go down the road we're going through right now.

Corkit - wort just alerted me to your post here. I will pm you...but am going to say this publicly: I live in Houston, which is one of the best, if not THE best cancer centers in the world. Should it involve you & hubby coming to Houston, mi casa es su casa. I mean that very seriously, and the offer is good to any of you I know here who need a port in the storm for whatever reasons, but especially something like this.
