We have someone posting here who is helping her boyfriend. He had a very bad case of side effects. They started him on very small doses and worked up gradually. He's doing great now. Her name is nmarie. You might want to read her posts. It would be a shame to get discouraged and give up because of side effects. Let us know how you're doing.

That's me. It took him forever to get up to 50 mg, he's so sensitive to it. What we did was get a pill crusher and a syringe thingie. Then crushed up 50 mg and dissolved in 50 ml of water. Then measuring with the syringe we could up his dose 1 mg at a time. Now he can just pop a whole pill like anyone else and not feel too bad. DON"T GIVE UP! He almost did, but after a little tough love from yours truly we came up with this solution. ;)

For what it's worth, I waited a week after writing the original post and reduced the dose to 25 mg for about a week or so before moving up to 50. I didn't have a repeat of that first bad night, and don't really feel any significant side effects now. I do still try to make a point of taking it with food, however.
